Fabulous fruit forward wine. From entry to finish, all fruit! Everything you want in a zinfandel! Very blueberry and other dark fruits. Tannins are smooth but a little pronounced. Drink it slightly chilled, around 67-68 degrees for best results!

It was ok right after opening but within about 15min it became a jammy fruity mess. Not well balanced , very little acidity. cloy. Not a huge fan of Zins anyway but this on was not very good, Drinkable but just barely.

One word: yuck. I love zinfandel (on the list for Turley, Carlisle), but I poured this entire bottle out. A complete sugar/jam bomb. Undrinkable IMO. Possible the bottle was flawed, but doubtful.

Zin as I love it. Spicy, floral red fruit nose, darker jammy fruit (blueberries) with chocolate and something savory (BBQ ribs?). A blast of bright fruit on finish, and abundant tannins for structure. Not a bomb and not quite sweet, but nothing subtle about it.

This winery puts out an amazingly delicious product. Everything you are looking for in a Zin can be found in Calcareous' wine.
