Beautifully aging Rutherford Cab from Beckstoffer Georges III - deep, inky color - Rutherford dust, lead pencil, graphite on the nose - jammy, black fruits - soft tannins hanging on nicely - Bordeaux-like in its finish - paired with Asian short ribs perfectly

Deep dark ruby red in color. The nose is very earthy with some mustiness and black fruits. On the palate this is jammy but also very Bordeaux like. Good balance also a hint of raisins. The finish is long and smooth. Very complex.

WOW! Very suprised by this bottle of wine. Mix of old and new world here; has the nose of an old world bordeaux but the up front fruit of a napa cab. This was just singing tonight, really really suprised by this especially considering the vintage. I don't get any green notes as others have mentioned. A ton of dark black fruit, just the right amount of funk on the nose and a finish that goes on and on. Alcohol and tannins very well integrated. I may have to seek more of this out, especially at the price.

dark purple in the glass fading only at the very edge. at first prominent oak. returned to it 3 hours later. some cassis, dark chocolate, pencil shavings, green pepper, and licorice. the palate was tart and rather vegetal which followed through to the finish.

Very heavy cab with a heavey earthy taste. Great finish. Definite great berry flavor that lated a while.
