Simply amazing texture and bountiful flavours. Super happy I allowed a few of these to remain hidden in the cellar. Clarity of fruit has always been the leading element yet it now has rounded out and picked up substance. Not like many southern Rhône’s yet almost Burgundian. Delightful.

Nice crisp and fresh black, blue, and red fruit, more on the strawberry/cranberry end than cherry, ample earth/mineral and spice. Quite lovely floral notes that really help the wine sing. Tannin is a bit edgy presently, acidity is balanced. Very good alone, was perhaps better with dinner. Could score higher with a bit more age. Enjoyable and interesting for sure.

Sierra de Gredos Tasting (Concord, MA): Initially my favorite (group's #3) of six Sierra de Gredos granachas in the flight. More tannic than the others. Could perhaps do with some more age, but plenty enjoyable now. I knocked the score down a point because the leftover glass I had the next day after a night in the fridge had a bitter finish that made me less sure about where this was headed.

this is all about a subtle, light combination of rasperries, wild strawberries and chocolate. the aromatic nose also has bits of clotted cream and marmelade. the flavour is very unique, with saline acidity and just the right dose of smooth tannins at the fore, and the red berries flavours only appearing afterwards. long finish of pure dark (unsweetened) chocolate and some earthiness. lacks the heat of warmer vintages, which is a plus for this outstanding value cuvée

Nah, a bit simple with high toned strawberry and licorice, but also a bit of heat and a slightly burnt sensation. Maybe a bad bottle since it seems to land so well with many other tasters.

Spanish wines continue to interest and impress me. This is a great wine for the price. Lots of fruit and spices, reminded me of a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. We had it with lamb. Really nice.

Brief note. super light in color. CC thought was a bojo and i get that given the high toned fruits. despite the light color this has some density, and improved with air. not as intense as the Rey Moro but pretty cool wine.

A more generous harvest than in 2014, with 8,200 bottles produced. The style and quality are very similar. The wine is wonderfully pure and vibrant, mineral (granite) and fresh, with bright skin phenolics, ethereal floral lift, and sweet fruit, airy and much more elegant than its considerable alcoholic weight (14.5% ABV) would suggest, juicy but with an attractive youthful tightness on the complete finish, very good length. Delightful, drink now - 2020+.
