Gone through about ten or so bottes of this over the last five years or so, and while the fruit continues to be dark amd vibrant, this wine is just so reduced and bretty on the nose -- a distraction that can't be overlooked. Great mouthfeel, a caressing Vosne. But that manure and livestock nose! Hard to get beyond that. Multiple bottles over mutilple years, consistent notes/nose. Every year or so I pop a bottle hoping the reduction will have dissipated but to no avail. One of the few unsuccessful P-M '04s.

Had a half bottle at Les Nomades - was outstanding. Soft velvety powerful plum fruit.
