Rich straw in color. Those of apricots, pears, honeysuckle, and hint of acacia.Taste of grapefruit, green, peaches, lanolin, green figs, and citrus.Pronounced, acidity and nice balance. Pleasant mouthfeel , medium body. Should evolve nicely for the next 3 to 6 years.

Smells like plastic and white flowers. Taste of yellow peaches, honey, and minerals. A little sweet, definitely more noticeable than the acidity. The most Mosel-like Columbia Valley Riesling I’ve had. A good buy around $20-25.

Orange blossom and white flower on the nose. Orange and lime on palate. Full mouthfeel, with a definite perlant, delicious citrus rind and minerality and acidity all balanced perfectly. The perfect wine! Great with Turkey roll, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce!

Very nice offering paired with ouster’s, crispy snapper, cold lobster @ one of my favorite lunch venues Amuse VMFA, Richmond. Floral nose, with loads of balanced fruit, lemon, orange, apricot, honeydew, firm acidity and just a touch of RS which added some nice complexity.

PnP. Only slightly off-dry, with notes of peach, apple, minerality, and good acidity. Should hold for several years. Paired very well with seared scallops in a sauce of orange juice, with Dijon mustard and honey.

Been some years since I last had this cuvée, but it is almost exactly like I remember it; a fine collebration between the warmth of Washington State and the precison of Mosel & Dr. Loosen, it is tropical, round, yet with enough acidity to work well with food, sushi Californian Style f.i. #MØHR #Horsens

Notes of citrus, green apple and pear. Ripe and slightly off-dry. Excellent balance of acidity. Fantastic finish. This is probably my favorite Riesling at the moment. This is a wine which you could pair with pretty much any Asian dish and get away with it.

Had with Asian themed dinner out. Crisp but not drying with just a hint of sweetness. Nice clean finish with no metallic off notes. Not a lot of fruit on the nose or palate and no noticeable floral notes. Wine is much better on its own than with food. It doesn’t have enough acidity to compliment the sushi or to balance out the sweeter sauces in the meal. Overall a good non polarizing sipping wine that would please a wide range of wine drinkers

OK. Been intending to get around to trying this but when I want riesling I tend to go with Poet's Leap. Figured I'd take a shot on it this year since it always seems to review well and was a buck a bottle cheaper than the PL at costco. I must say both the wife and I were disappointed. Back to the Poet's Leap as our riesling.

One of my favorite white wines. This is dry with only the slightest hint of sweetness. Great minerals. Nice acidity. Rounded fruit flavors. Not too much citrus or fruit. Just a great, well made wine that fits exactly within its price point.

Collaboration since 1999 between Bob Bertheau, Head Winemaker at Chateau Ste. Michelle and Ernst Loosen of the iconic German producer.
A(ccuracy)=2: Pale straw. Focused, floral, petrol aromatics. B(alance) =3: Fruit forward with vibrant acidity. C(omplexity)=2: Lime, tangerine, peach, mineral. D(epth) = 1: Supple, round mouthfeel. Even kilt length and finish.
Fine enough, correct Riesling flavors, fairly dry; but seems on the flat side. Served by the glass, so judgement reserved... but if this is representative, it's a bit of a disappointment compared with previous vintages

Tasted following an interview with Ted Baseler (for an article on Chateau Ste. Michelle’s 50th Anniversary forthcoming in next month’s Somm Journal), the 2015 Eroica is the result of a long and fruitful partnership with Dr. Ernst Loosen. As such, it sports an endearing touch of petrol on the nose, something I readily attribute to Rieslings from the Mosel. On the palate, it's soft and round, with nice persistence. Gently dwindles to green tea and lime zest. 12.0% ABV 1.2% RS | Sample

American Rieslings: On the nose, peaches, crushed sweet tarts and sea salt. Rich texture, sweetness balanced nicely with fresh acidity but this shows hedonistic notes too (honey, baked apple, spiced white tea). Lots going on.

Tasted as part of the "50 Years of Ch. Ste. Michelle" seminar at 2017 Taste of Washington. (Four Seasons Seattle): Tasted as part of the "50 Years of Ch. Ste. Michelle" seminar at 2017 Taste of Washington. Light straw in the glass. Bouquet is light on the nose, with some spice and stone fruit. Palate dominated by the fruit and noticeable acidity. Mineral comes out on the long finish; acidity still noticeable. While young, this is meant to be had with food.

I found this Riesling to excel. Ginger, pineapple, tropical notes, maybe a bit of sweetness at the end. I may go back for more.

Just over 1% RS, not as dry as I expected considering the relatively moderate acidity. Nice balance, Mosel influence evident, long mineral on finish
