100% Sangiovese and has come into a good drinking window. Tried decanting 50% for 90 minutes but the consensus was a preference for the balance left in the bottle that showed more intensity and good black fruit. Sturdy but sophisticated and should continue to improve.

As good as prior bottles. Got 1,5-2h air. Classic nose for high end sangiovese. Sloghtly underripe Red fruits, some shisha tobacco notes, as in sweet but not sugar’ish. Some herbs. M+ mouth feel, very ballanced and approachable after some air. Fruit forward.

A notch lighter than medium red color. Decanted for roughly 1h, just after opening, the nose was beautiful but the tannins were some what unballanced. After an our everything had settled perfectly, lovely sangiovese at its best. ligth red berries, currant, cranberry underripe cherries and some light lingering notes of liquirice, pepper and pipetobacco. We had it blind and an experienced burgundy drinker was guessing Vosne Romane.

The most recent notes below pretty much cover it! Excellent wine. Fine grain sediment. Short decant and was ready to go! Knocked off a point because the nose was a bit muted.

First time trying this producer. Very impressed. Decanted for an hour or so. Medium + nose. Layers of dark fruit, black cherry, roasted tomatoes and herbs. Medium + high acidity, even better on the palate. Long finish.

Nose: Super floral nose with spices, cedar oak, red cherries, red berries, some minerality. Very elegant. Mouth: red cherries, medium+ body, medium+ acidity, some oak sweetness with a tannic bite, long fruity finish. Reminds me of le pergole torte 2014. Too young. 94 pt.

PnP; best at the 90 minute-open mark, and beyond. Absolutely in the zone now, though not too worry, it's not fading anytime, either. Bright, with some chewy, soft red/dark red fruits, with plenty of fresh acidity to keep it all lively and balanced. Darn good; wish I had more. highly recommended+
Great nose of cherry, dried berries, dust, florals and earth. Sweet and expansive on the palate with lush, silky textures and dominated by red cherry, spice and enjoyable acidity. Perhaps a hint of leather. Very integrated and harmonious, and drinking nicely now, but lacking the complexity that will likely emerge with more time. Interesting wine - less acidity than a chianti and perhaps a bit less structured than a brunello.

Aroma: medicinal cherry and floral aromas. Palate: creamy fresh cherry flavors with mineral, spice and savory notes. Great structure and balance. Deep and complex. Good acidity and ripe, pronounced tannin.

Dark violet, opaque coloring, full bodied Muted nose, some floral hints, and wet stone. Black plums. Dry, astringent, tannin is strong. Very youthful. Will age well. Medium finish. Old school characteristics. Good bones. A sophisticated wine with lots of potential.

Eine Jugend. Beim Öffnen ist dieses vollständig geschlossen. Dieser Zustand hält an ... nach drei Stunden im breiten Dekanter öffnet es sich ein bischen. Typischer Sangiovese. Dunkle Gewürze, Leder und Gürtel. Trocken. Trinken die nächste Flasche in 10 Jahren. Potenzial.

Decanted for 1 hour. Dark violet in color, this wine reveals intense and focused aromas of dark cherry, black currant, saddle leather and minerals. The mouth feel is fuller bodied with more dark cherry and tobacco undertones. The finish remained tight even with the ample decant.
Purchased for $120US on the bottle list at a bistro in Wilmington, DE, this wine showed glimpses of brilliance but clearly needs 3-5 years more cellar time. It was enjoyed with friends tonight with our entrees.

On the nose muted, not much fruit, crushed stones, spices. Fresh and bright on the palate, again mineral, round tannins, good length, but just a little linear and almost thin... In any case it's too young now, so I hope I will have a chance to taste it again in 5-10 years or so. 91-92+(+?)

The nose was gorgeous and spicy with dusty floral tones, dried berries, and crushed stone. On the palate, I found silky textures with sweet spices giving way to zesty cherry and brisk acidity with inner florals and saline minerality. It finished with saturating dark red fruits and fine tannin. When tasting this, it’s hard to believe that 2014 was considered a difficult vintage.

Wow, what a rich and delicious young Sangiovese! Winemaker Paolo di Marchi says this year as with most but not all years it is 100% Sangio. Dark, not quite opaque garnet color with a rich nose of ripe red berries, cedar, chocolate and floral aromatics. On the palate this is chewy with silky tannins and black cherry fruit along with some nice floral and spicy notes, a tinge of vanilla on the very long elegant finish. Big but not brooding, rich but still vibrant and elegant. Thanks to Paolo for having some early released wine available for dinner!
Already packed with intrigue, this new release will require some cellar fortitude if it's to be allowed a full expression. Mysterious at times, then shut down, then bright, full, and crisp. A serious wine that's years away from its preferred plateau. The very careful selection comes across in every drop. HOLD. highly recommended

Beautiful red fruits on the nose, with earthy & leather notes coming through.
Palate was similar to the nose. Tannins were soft & had good balance. Med body, med.- tannins, med. acidity.
Enjoyed it over an Italian dinner. Overall very good quality. Drink now with potential to age further.
