Salmon in color, balsamic and raspberry on the nose along with watermelon and anise with herbs. The mouthfeel is crisp. The finish is all chalk and mineral wiht a touch of brown sugar on the finish. Always a full bodied rosé that screams for food. So good we pulled a second bottle, but poured only a little bit and finished the rest off two days later watching the NASCAR championship at Phoenix.Chase Elliot wins over Logano, Keslawski, and (haha) Hamlin. 14.2% alc. With St. Andre, Brie, and Appalachian cheeses, Reunion bread and ham. 11.06 and 08.20. Recommended.

No real notes. Pulled just to keep my hands off the Champagne while girilling oysters for Mother’s Day. Loads of watermelon. PM claims not to like this rose, but cannot explain why. It is more structured than most roses without a doubt.

No real notes, but shared with Smileys, Sheets and Karen Frank with pork, cheeses, crabcakes following a downtown tour. Men seemed to prefer this over the Gab. Rausse rosé while the woman were the reverse.

This is a hugely rosé; its just a big wine. It’s the color of pickled watermelon juice that is just this shade of a deep peach. The nose is ripe with peach, watermelon, elderflower, iodine and herbs. While I enjoy it with the meal, others say it overpowers the shrimp. It’s more of a point-counterpoint. It remains crisp and distinct on the palate. It has ample body, while delivering crispness and bite. I loved it. 14.2% alc. With pickled shrimp. Recommended.

For a rosé, this is a big wine; rich with the color of watermelon juice, and ripe with an explosion of watermelon, strawberries and balsamic, and herbs. It almost overpowers the cheeses, but for the pungent blue. A touch of tannic bit; a good thing that too many rosés lack. But don’t think this is in any way heavy on the palate. It is not. It simply has body, yet delivers crispness and bite. 14.2% alc. With crusty bread, molé salami, assorted cheeses . 05.24.19. Recommended.
(We followed the L-M with this, not that we needed it, but it did make for a more interesting evening:) Lucien Crochet Pinot Rosé Sancerre Loire Valley 2016
We pulled this looking for something a bit lighter after the L-M Rosé. This fit the bill. As I noticed earlier this month, “ This is one of the few rosés where the pinot noir character comes through with strawberry, cherry and cream; maybe even a bit of violet comes through.” Alc. 13.5%. With cheeses and crusty bread. 05.24.19. Recommended.

Labeled as 13.8% abv. An orangey/coral color with clarity and viscosity. This, IMO, has a floral mystique along with forward fruit. Spicy notes follow on the tail end. In fact, spice seems to be a bit overpowering in my estimation.
