Burgundy Villages 2011 and younger dinner (Traditional Teochew Steamboat, Joo Chiat Road, Singapore): Decent but not great. It had a rather decent nose - sweet dark cherries, earth, bramble, a bit of spice. The palate was soft. Cherries again, rather fruit-forward, but simple, even slightly watery past midpalate. Pleasant enough though, with a dried earth finish, little sprigs of bramble and a little bittersweet woody finish. Okay, but not one I would seek out in a hurry.

Am I the only one that get mineral and stoney tones in this wine? Or is it my bottle? Some heat and salt as well. Taste like a dragons tears. This is not what I expected. Bad bottle?
After an hour I'm starting to get fruit as well. I can't grade this. Probably an off bottle. 82-86 if you twist my arm.

Fresh, lovely complex and balanced nose full of bonfire and berries. Opens nicely up after an hour giving luscious cold, dark fruit on the palate. Intense and lovely. Soft cherries and vanilla. The vintage serms to have a carpet of tannins and fruit covering the tartness nicely. Balanced.

Lovely, wide open nose with a lot of pinosity, weaker palate that falls apart in the glass. But if you don't pair it with too heavy food it should be alright.

Initially fairly fruit forward and then opened up to some spice and earthiness. Lacks concentration

Solid Bourgogne. Similar to his whites, this possesses a high level, sharp acidity. A good sneak peak of what his style is.

So... this is how it's supposed to taste.
Very pinot today with raspberries and strawberries. Still a clear saltiness but today in the background and enjoyable.

A bit odd, not as enjoyable as my last bottle. Needs time.

2015 Benjamin Leroux Whites and Reds (San Francisco): Light and brambly, black fruited. Pretty unremarkable, and not nearly as good at this level as the Bourgogne Blanc.

Moden rund og kjølig frukt. Bra volum og lengde. Fra deklassifiserte village og 1er druer. Skrukork. Fin til nåkonsum.
