Cloudy ruby-crimson color under the light. Wild blueberry chewing gum with a hint of raspberry on the nose. Notes of bright red berries with a mild alkaline sourness at the edges. Pleasant enough to wash down a pizza; purchased in desperation as the most expensive Tesco Express wine on offer on a lonely night in London.

Twist and pour and tasted with food (Pho Ga, in case you were wondering) and then on its own. Ruby red color. Clear. Nose is a bit muted, but does offer some strawberry and red fruits and an earthy element. Quaff-able, light in texture, with good acidity and red fruits. There is some bitterness on the back end, a steely note that is a slight distraction, but seemed to dissipate with time.
Cépages: Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah

13% alcohol, 1.5 liter bottle, screw top, imported by Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL, a red wine with the components not identified, label simply states 'mis en bouteille par la Vieille Ferme'; vinturied and tasted immediately at about 16 degrees C, medium to long legs, dark red, weak nose, some fruit; tasting showed fruit-tannins pretty well balanced, the short finish leaves a dry taste on the back of the tongue, a basic wine but well worth the price; pair with grilled steak

Nothing overly noteworthy. For an inexpensive wine, not bad, but there are better options.
