Much better than the last ones. The blackberry has calmed down, faint but pleasant tobacco, nice and supple. I think it has now moved into its drinking window, but I am not in a hurry.
Decanted one hour.

Two bottles with prime rib. Decanted for -2 hours. First bottle was a bit musty on the nose. 2nd bottle was more open—lots of spice and fresh fruit on the nose. Dark fruits on the palate with a med -long finish.

This wine needs more time. On day 1 it was tight, muddled and overpowering. I left the last 3 glasses in the bottle for the next day. On day 2 it was fantastic. Aroma of dark fruits, licorice, a little tar, some forest floor (barnyard even?). The flavor were more precise on day 2 and the finish was fantastic. I’d say another 2-3 in the cellar and this will be a gem.

Dark purple in color. Also smells purple with fresh dirt, sweet black fruit. Medium to full in body. Light in acidity. Medium tannin. Mouthfilling finish. Texture is supple.

Decanted 2 hrs. Indeed this is a rather large scaled St. Joseph, but it didn't come across as especially fruity, more structure than specific blackberry or other dark fruits, though towards the end, a nice late arriving note of black cherry emerged. Very good, and should be fun to see where this goes in 5 years.

Wine Spectator: 93 Points A hint of warm ganache melds quickly into the background, while fig, blackberry and black currant confiture notes emerge steadily, picking up smoldering tobacco, pastis and tar details through the finish. This is stacked. Best from 2020 through 2030. 1,000 cases made. --James Molesworth
Wine Advocate: 91 Points The 2015 Saint Joseph Les Côteaux was aged in a combination of barriques and demi-muids. It’s a fruit-forward Saint Joseph, bursting with blueberries, cassis and blackberries. This medium to full-bodied, supple wine should drink well for a decade or so.–Joe Czerwinski
Vinous: 90-91 Points Lurid violet. Heady aromas of cherry, cassis, violet and licorice are sharpened by a smoky mineral quality. Juicy and nicely concentrated, showing very good energy to the smoke-tinged dark berry, cherry and floral pastille flavors. Finishes with very good mineral-tinged persistence, harmonious tannins and repeating smokiness. -- Josh Raynolds
Nearly black in the glass, soft tannins, ripe black fruits, berry, plum, tart black cherries, notes of black pepper and wood leading to a long finish. Very nice. BMK wine bar Lyon.

91+ Riktigt prisvärt vin. Ganska lätt i stilen och fortfarande ganska bra frukt.

I'm starting to warm to this wine. Consistent with previous note, even though did not decant.

Still drinking very well, a little less primary fruit than my bottle 18 mos ago and perhaps more interesting. Excellent value.
