PnP with dinner guests. Initially thought it was flawed (dumped my glass), but guests thought it was fine. Unsure if they were just being nice so opened a completely different bottle so there was an alternative. About 3/4 of original bottle was consumed and bottle was open for about 4 hours. Finished rest of bottle today and was much better. Takeaway, give this one a good decant first...

Drinking really well now. This brings old school BDX vibes with new world intensity. Good now, but likely really good in five years or so. Learning the hard way that Washington state BDX blends often reward patience more than they initially let on.

While the, "extreme overripeness" Tanzer describes in his TN might have been held in check at that time, it wasn't tonight. Prunes at the fore, with some spice and a little oak influence. Way too ripe, even for me. Hopefully this is bottle variation because this bottles shouldn't have been $25.

Consistent with previous note: it’s big, ripe, and hedonistic, but it’s also fairly complex for a merlot blend in this price range. Ready for pop and pour drinking now, should be good for another five years or so.

Delicious. Crazily well made wine for $20 from the wine club. Fruit dominates day 1, added weight and backbone on day 2. Great wine at any price, that it cost $20 is a bonus.

Medium-full bodied with dusty, gritty tannins giving was to a smooth, medium-length finish. Nice integration of fruit and earth, it seems like this is still a baby and I expect the points to rise in the next 1-2 years. Double-decanted back into the bottle after an hour and enjoyed over three hours. Great QPR.

Tried the second bottle last night. Although it did not feel as good as the first, it still was quite good. This wine may have peaked and is ready to be consumed. The tasting note is the same as the review for the first wine. Our guests went through 3 red wine bottles last evening. Needless to say, they were feeling “wine joy” by the end of dinner. They asked to see this bottle to take pictures of the label so they would remember and seek out this wine, a sure sign that this was the winning wine of the evening.
Not usually a fan of Sheridan's ripe style, but this wine is very appealing. Nicely concentrated blackberry fruit with a goodly amount of merlot's cocoa. Dusty tannins and a hint of mint from cabernet sauv are a plus.

Tasty, rich, and primary the first night Hedonistic, but not loads of complexity. But the second day, it was layered with currant and blackberry fruit, grilled herbs, and cedar. Long and elegant finish. Remarkable.

A little suspect after initial opening last night. Really tight and fruit masked. Glad I waiting a day. Drink well with fruit now in balance with tannins . Probably best to decant for 2-3 hours next go around. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, light toast and prune. It tastes like blackberry, cherry, plum and light toast. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

really good wine that straddles the line between old-world BDX complexity and Napa fruit purity. Has some wood that needs to integrate but there's nice material in there. This represents good value in a new world cab blend. I only have one more but may grab another 3-6, as these would be good to follow over a few years.

Double decant. A full throttle wine. Unique, Lots of dark fruits and chewy tannins with some oak and vanilla. Fantastic bang for the buck! Sure to age well. There is a slight unpleasant mid pallet bitterness that I hope works it out with time in the cellar.

Wow! This is a mind blowing wine. Deep, long, brooding, sensual, subliminal, and all for $27. When Wine Advocate gave this wine 94 pts, they were on to something. This is a powerful merlot blend that is immensely pleasing now and shall have you smitten if you give it a few more years of time in your cellar. Dark berries, leather, tobacco. Medium to full body. Long finish. Complex, beguiling, seductive. Very nice wine for the price. Highly recommended!!

Opened 90 min before drinking (no decant). Deep, dark ruby color with purplish tinge. Plum, blueberry, browned butter and subtle vanilla on the nose. Smooth, dry, grippy, heavy palate. Full, mouth filling tannins on the medium finish. Sheridan is simply a good winery.

This modern and plush Cabernet blend punches way above its price point by being flat-out delicious. Fans of Napa, fans of Washington, fans of taste and fruit and complexity, take notice: this is the real deal, and it costs less than $30. Need I say more?
OK, I will:
Dark purple in color, full in body, welcoming nose of blackberry, mocha, and graphite. Tastes of blueberry pie, cocoa powder, and white chocolate (Jeb is right about this one, counterintuitive as it is), with a grainy and sweet, somewhat juicy finish. 14.1% alcohol. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Drink in next few years.
From what I've tasted so far, the wines of Sheridan can be summed up in five words: QPR for the modern palate. These wines offer fruit, complexity, and structure: if you want barnyard funk, go elsewhere; if you want delicious and balanced fruit (think Napa done right), try these. I loved the L'Orange ($50), and this is just as good ($23!). In a world of few values, this is one of them: this wine might be a bit straightforward, but drinking it is pure pleasure. 93+.

Unfortunately it was a pop n pour at a party. Wish I would have decanted prior. Nose seemed closed at first but taste and finish were great for a Washington blend around 20$. Loads of cherries and dark fruit, mild tannins and decent finish. Would recommend as a weekend quaffer , good QPR

Finally, a winemaker moving back to the basics of what a merlot should taste like. Not at all fat or flamboyant. Very well made. Elegant, grippy tannins, spice and hint of floral. Overall, excellent value and will buy more!

What a great PQR wine. So young, but drinking so well. Easy entry with just a slight tannic mouthfeel, notes of blackberries and leather. Mid-palate is chocolate and licorice. Smooth, what's not to like

Lovely nose. Cherry, plum and fig with a hint of smoke. Mid palate tannins are still expressive. Medium finish. I would lay a few bottles down and try again in 6 months to a year. I didn't decant, just ran it through the aerator. The wine was all over the place at the start but, by the end of the evening was very nice.

I am now convinced that Scott G. can do no wrong ... and I haven't even broached his finer offerings yet. Drinks fairly down-the-middle, re cab & merlot traits, and is approachable now w/o decant. Classic black fruits & leather / tobacco. This is just stupid-good for 25 bones, and very deserving of its WA94.

So good, especially for a 2015. Promised myself I'd let it lay down for a few more years, but loved it so much, I had to have it again. Drinks more like a right bank than a left bank (it is a cab/merlot blend). Blackberries, leather, spice. Nice wine.

So young but so good. The Merlot definitely mellows this blend and makes it approachable right now. Marionberry, leather and smoke on entry and mid-palate. Nice notes of tobacco on the finish. Yes indeed, Sheridan is a Washington gem.
