  • Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, herbs, tobacco, graphite, dark coffee and dark chocolates.

Medium minus in length on the finish, with grippy tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 7 year old Merlot blend from Bordeaux is showing nice complexity now, although still very young.

I gave it 2 hours of airtime, but it was clearly not enough.

    Robert Parker 93 points.

Still very young and tight. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. I had the 2012 a few years ago, and it was much more approachable.

A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels (35% new).

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $90.

  • Opened up well after a few hours. A serious wine with lots of character. Will get even better
With age. Enjoyed with Xmas dinner of roasted quails

  • This has already matured very well. Gave it time to open up and it was rich, round and vibrant.

  • Aromas full of crushed blackberries and blueberries with fresh mushrooms and sandalwood. Full-bodied, very tight and focused with fabulous density of fruit

  • Very good. Rich and fulfilling. Tasted it on the boat, so perhaps not the most best environment for serious tasting notes.

  • (GG Tasting 1 Glass) - Tight, earthy, licorice vegetal with a long finish. Traditional in style - needs time. A touch coarse (?)

    Couleur prune presque noire.
    Attendre. Joli potentiel.

  • Already showing a bit of truffle, the wine offers ripe plums and licorice in the nose and on the palate. Most of the oak has been completely integrated into the wine. Round, smooth, curvy and full bodied, you experience a delicious blast of juicy red fruits and spice on the palate and finish. The wine was made from 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.

  • This is easily the best vintage of Nenin produced in modern times. The wine is vibrant, soft, fresh and filled with ripe, earthy, sweet, mocha filled plums and black cherries topped with truffles.
