100% estate fruit. This vineyard in Monterey is composed of sand, gravel and granite. The vines are 15-25 years old and are 90% Dijon and 10% Martini clone. Not decanted. Medium red color. This had a bright acidity. Notes of cranberries and cherries. Light to medium bodied. 89 points.

Wonderful nose of moss, dark fruits, and mushroom. Very typical of the type of pinot I like. Taste is congruent—lots of dark cherry, black plum, and other dark fruit notes, with a hint of bitterness on the finish. High acid, medium complexity, medium plus finish. A well made wine, but it still can’t completely hide the fact that it’s 14.5%.

PnP, the nose is wonderful, with raspberry, tea and dark earth. The palate is equally fantastic, with solid acidity working well with equally grippy tannins that don't detract from the deep raspberry, more tea and a leathery note that is very pleasing. Medium bodied with a solid finish, this is quite burgundian in many ways.

Nice dark fruit aroma. Tastes freshly fruity with dark berries, rhubarb, and black cherries. Kind of a short finish. Very nice for so young and the price.

This is a delightful Pinot by virtue of its vibrant acidity and fresh flavors. Driven by its purity of fruit, it offers a beautiful array of wild berries, rhubarb, pickling spice and smoke. Medium ruby in color, medium-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%), softly oaked and with light sweet tannins, it is nothing short of charming from the get-go. Nicely dense in the middle, it goes on to finish with good length. Excellent quality-to-price here! This was a particularly outstanding match with steamed potstickers and would pair well with similar fare. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2021.

Wonderful nose, great leather notes. Palate was not as refined, not very smooth. Maybe a little too much alcohol content.

Nice raspberry notes; not over the top fruit for a SLH pinot noir.
