Nose of plum, nectarine, oolong tea, forest floor, sandalwood. Still tart on the palate, decent finish. Still plenty of fruit, I'll open the next bottle in 2 years. Better with food, due to the acidity.

Previous bottles had left me somewhat cold. This bottle, paired with roasted root vegtables, was much better. Burgundian, not super on its own, but a good pairing and I enjoyed it. Lots of wood, mild to moderate tannins, and shy fruit compensated for by reasonable complexity.

A potentially impressive PN, but needs 3-4 years. Right now seems lean, tight, and the midpalate lacks the sweetness I associate with really ripe fruit. Not in a league with the 2006 Pioneer from this same producer.

Absolutely delicious right now. Not a wine I would give high points to, but in fact really hitting its stride.

Strawberry and oak on the nose....fairly light in color...fruit a bit subdued on the palate.
Day 2: Fruit a bit more apparent.

Winemaker from DDO, and wines consistent with DDO - lots of structure and acid on this wine...impressive value.
