Nice straight forward overseas chardonnay. Lot's of oak, but very pleasant. While the wine has probably passed its peak, it is certainly still worth drinking. Honney, fermented cane sugar (it has high alcohol content as well) caramel even some dried fruits and Christmas spice (including some orange) in the nose. A chardonnay well made.

Good Chardonnay. Not the most complex, but good wine. Not overoaked or too much malo. Smooth, honeyed, a little baked apple pie. Nice with a beet salad and goat cheese. Enjoyed without much contemplation. If you have some, it probably will not get better. Enjoy it while there is nothing to complain about.

Golden and quite dense. Lemon curd, butterscotch and tropical aromas and flavors. Quite aromatic and flavorful. Something quirky on the palate I found off-putting but can't quite pinpoint. Overall, a mixed experience.

quite oaky, but nor too much, very pleasant wine just to enjoy. was better at the begining, just opened, where the acidity was much more there and make the wine more alive. great pleasure.

A lot of wine for the money. Notes of toasty oak, peach and a touch of buttered popcorn. Good mouth feel and decent finish. Its deinitely on the big end, but I don't mind that style.

Simple in its pleasure and by definition uncomplex. Plenty of oak on the nose and in the mouth with a touch of pear and apricot fruit. The 15.5% alcohol tries to hide but can't. A bit too big to enhance any food. Definitely drink upon opening as day two is quite oaky, lacking in fruit, and a touch hot. Good (on day 1) but nothing more. 84 pts.

This Chardonnay showed a lot better than the first time I tasted it many months ago at the winery. Ripe aromas and flavors, not overly woody, this was a very fine Chardonnay. Its price makes it a nice QPR buy.

Really liked this wine. Had it at a restaurant with a Chicken pot pie. Got some nice citrus on attack with a buttery component. At the finish I got a hint of Vanilla which topped off a nice taste. Good acidity, a good taste.

Ripe, extracted tropical fruit; supple buttery texture with toasty oak; initially, a bit cloying, but with food, the acidity came through. Solid effort.

Very full-bodied toasty oak style Chardonnay - little bit heavy, but nice roasted apples/pears, bit of popcorn and even some melon/honeysuckle - big wine for food, but not too overly oaky, a nice balance.

Tropical nose of pineapple. Nice texture, an off-putting CO2 smell and some spritziness made me like this a lot less than many of the previous unfiltered chardonnays I have had. 86 pts.

Newton Portfolio (Brown Jug): Lovely nose of freshly cut yellow pear, heavy cream, hints of American oak, and brioche. Rich, round palate of sweet cream, vanilla tapioca, and warm spices. All nicely balanced with fresh acidity. Usually a fan of the unfiltered label, but this one takes the cake.

Newton Tasting: Pretty big oaky and tropical fruit nose. Concentrated on the palate with that tropical fruit blancing with the oak, and nice acidity. An extremely impressive Cali chard for the price.

Medium oak. Green apple, grape fruit. Not as acidic as that sounds. Full-bodied and lush. A bit tiresome to drink - lacking freshness.

A complex Chardonnay - perhaps too young at this point, as it has very high acidity, particularly in the finish.
