Initially a little reticent but opens with time to show cherry over berry, both of a dark hued nature, supported by earth and sweet spice. More of the same on the palate, texture present, just beginning to show some tertiary characteristics. Okay.

Decanted to help with screwcap reductiveness. Black cherry, a little ripe blackberry and plum that proves slightly jubey, plenty of sweet spice and cedar. in the mouth it's juicy and fleshy, the fruit very much forward, tannins are present and burred, a little non intrusive alcohol warmth helps carry the finish long. Quite lovely.

Favourite wine from a bracket of 3 entry level South Island (New Zealand) Pinot Noir wines. Lovely strawberry nose, with some anise too. The palate is almost Nebbiolo-esque albeit without the tannin, structural, red berry fruits supported and driven by acid. Good length.

I can see why this has a bit of a name. Boysenberry, vanilla, black pepper spice, eucalyptus and menthol, cedar. This is concentrated and rich yet bright and clear on the finish. An excellent wine and great value.
Rifling and hunting through the storage, arranging and, ostensibly, organising but, in effect, playing wine Tetris with all the boxes I came upon one of these and decided to liberate it from cellars cold clutches. It's all strawberry and cherry with sweetly spiced underpin, a smidge of liquorice and plain chocolate and a the beginnings of a little savoury gameyness. On the palate because this is quite cool it's fresh and controlled, the fruit very slightly sour and with a touch of bitterness to the finish joined by a little alcohol encroachment but this is damned fine wine and a great QPR for a Kiwi Pinot.

Gave 30m of air. Pale Ruby color. Aromas of rasberry and strawberry, mushroom, toffee and a hint of pepper. Tartly acidic, with muscular chocolate tannis and a satin texture. Red fruit on entry, with earthiness in the mid-palate and a drying earthiness in the finish. Complex aromatically, but simple on the palate. May evolve with some time and become more complex. As it stands, drinking nicely, if a bit simple.

double decanted to get rid of a touch of reductiveness...lots of wild strawberry on the nose backed by earthy spices and slight stalks, though still quite perfumed. Sour fresh fruit on the palate with mid palate burr lending some weight. Young but balanced and approachable.

Murky nose of juicy red and black berries, wet fern, Chinese all spice and a nice earthy note. Juicy and lithe palate with plenty of juicy red fruits, sprinkling of herbs, touch of smoke and a finish of good length, sour cherry and cranberry dominated. The balance is particularly good. Needs 30 mins in the glass before drinking, or a good decant.

Negociants Australia Portfolio Tasting 2017: Raspberry, cherry, dusty notes and a light herb element. Lighter styled fruit on the palate, with good acidity and tannins. There is already enjoyment here.
