2nd night. Opened and poured. Very nice, smoother, more balanced, with lots of texture & depth. Nice fruit and oak! Always like what Molly Hill & Mike Trujillo do (did!) with their CS Wines!

Coravin’d a large glass, leaving the rest for tomorrow. Another lovely bottle. I just really like their CS, and always have. I don’t think they get the recognition they deserve. Solid 92 Pointer, and honestly, I grade hard. This wine tickles my taste buds very nicely!

A very nice and solidly made/built Napa CS. Decanted for 90 minutes. Big, rich, dark and exceptionally smooth and balanced. Rich is fruit, primarily black fruit and plum with nice oak, leather and graphite.
Paired this with a grilled (& lightly Red Oak Smoked) Filet Mignon. Not a lot of fat (obviously), but a great combination.
4 hours later it began to fade though. Got a little thicker, fruit faded, but still smooth and balanced. I think at this point of time, this is “decant and drink sort of quick” type of wine. Will probably drink my other bottles within the next year. I suspect this is at its peak, possibly a bit over.
A Solid 92 Pointer and a Very Good QPR.

Drank with Dad and Beth on back patio. Definitely needs to breathe, but much better than the first time we drank a few months ago. Really opened up smoothly and has a great velvety mouthfeel. Very slight berry hints and slight fruit, well balanced.

Had it on Day 2 and it was even better. Still a strong acidic/alcohol smell, but much more mellow on the second day. Bold mouthfeel, fruit forward, but good balance. It’s a good wine.

We agree with another reviewer who said there are better wines at this price point. However, this is really good. Deep red and purple color and strong fruit forward on the nose. Strong alcohol smell, though. Really mellowed out after about 30+ minutes of breathing. A little acidic, but good. Looking forward to aging this a few more years.

At 7 years we were surprised by the tannins still in this wine. We would hold this for another year or more. If you want to drink it now, I suggest decanting it. Also, enjoy with something fatty, like a steak, it needs something rich with it.

Drank with Sam’s parents and with sushi. It was good. I get some slight cherry notes. Upon opening, definitely a little tight. Needs to breathe a bit.

Smooth -- a nice drinking wine. However, none of us felt it was worth the price. Much better cabs in Napa for less.

Drank this evening, not sure I would order it again. For the price there are better Cabs out there.
