While a nicely aged bottle, the fruit seems to have faded a little bit. It is more mineral than fruit focused now with lively acidity and a medium finish.

This wine has developed a lot of complexity over the past year or two. It has nice citrus fruit, including lemon and grapefruit flavors. Also, the acidity is crisp and there is quite a lot of minerality.

I do sense the hay on the nose as MGM put it. So interesting. On the palate, there is citrus fruit, acidity, minerality and a full mouthfeel to the finish. I suppose I sense some dried fig and dried date too. A very interesting wine.

Figs, lemon, dried hay, something toasty on the nose. Medium bodied concentrated fruit on the core in a crystalline acid frame, long finish. Beautifully balanced.

Generous aromas of lychee, sea air, and hay, with a hint of honey developing. Penetrating fruit on the palate, rich and aromatic, with a precisely cut vein of acid and a very long golden finish. Redolent and filigreed, muscular and poised.

We had this bottle last evening and it was terrific. It had nice citrus, including grapefruit, good acidity and medium complexity. Of course, the minerality was there. It was more muted this time around than usual, but still very good.

More of a light gold, than the usual light straw color, with a bright shine and no particulates or sediment. Followed for three hours. It seemed pretty well established after only 15 minutes or so open. Wow, the nose really takes me away from the Loire and over to Reims. I mean, the bouquet strikes me as something I would find in a nice Champagne. Grapefruit, kiwi, spiced apple, and garden salad. The palate has both heft and lift, if you catch my drift. Plus a strong spine of mineral persuasion throughout. Seems dry as a bone so it might not be for the unaccustomed, but fans of this style should be happy. I am. I had the 2017 last week and it wasn't in as nice of a spot as this bottle. Age seems to be kind to this wine. 5+12+17+9= 93

I hadn’t tried this in over a year and recently read a TN from Outplaying that was different than what I had described in two previous notes (the last being October of 2019).
Based upon what I have in my glass, the wine has put on significant weight over the last year - not to say this is full-bodied by any means, but this has fleshed out and really covers the palate today. I like this much better today than I did last year.
Delicious! Pineapple and grapefruit. Fairly rich, but at the same time not heavy at all. Plenty of acidity to keep it lively. Ann liked it too, and she is not a big SB fan.
Fuller bodied than I remember. This was good, but not as interesting as a 2015 Monte Damnes I had not long ago. The MD had more stoney minerality. I have one more that I may sit on to see if it gains some complexity. Ann liked it.

On the nose:.guava, lime peel, a touch of toast, and some nettle. On the palate, lovely acidity, and mouthfeel, with real density, and black pepper spice, followed by gooseberry and a touch of mint oil. Clean finish, and very yummy, but confirmation that I prefer my Sancerre on the younger side.

Nice and accessible nose of herbs, melon and Meyer lemon. Beautiful palate of herbs, melon, citrus and cottonwood blooms. While fairly voluptuous for a sauvignon, this displays perfect balance and silky texture, with a long finish leaving a bit of lime. Delicious.

Bright spiky aromas of limestone, lime, mandarin, and a hint of fresh hay. Taught liquid spread of fruit on the front of the palate, rich and deep with regal concentration, making a grand symphonic transition into pure crystalline depths of crackling acid fruit on the way to an energizing acid finish. A wine of great emotional intensity that lifts and wakes the soul.

Crisp, briny note on the nose, then light-bodied on the palate. Pleasant, but given the tariff, perhaps not the best QPR. That said, I have no regrets about either buying or drinking it ;^)

Lighter on its feet than the 2014 - this may be a touch dilute compared to the first wine, but I prefer its overall balance. Doesn't strike me as a wine that needs additional bottle aging.

Similar notes as last time. However, it was followed by a Mont Dammes which surpassed it. Nevertheless, this is a very enjoyable Sancerre with good minerality and acidity, plus good citrus fruit.

Powerful nose of gooseberry, grass, lime & celery. Round and balanced on the palate with some melon notes. A bit of anise emerges on the longish finish. Fine intensity and focus, if a bit soft-edged. I'd drink it over the next couple of years.

Expressive nose of lime and fresh hay. Palate adds honeydew melon and herbs, with a hint of licorice emerging in the very long finish. Fairly rich if medium bodied, with excellent balance. As fine a Sancerre as I can remember tasting, with time to burn.

Delicious. Nose is complex with bright citrus lemon lime, melon and flint and a hint of honeysuckle. Zesty lemon flavor up front. Smooth thru mid palate with layers of citrus and slight creaminess. Long finish. I have one more bottle which I'll probably wait 5 years to taste.
