The held extremely well. Medium acidity, medium bodied. Tons of citrus-grapefruit and lemon. Hints of oak on the nose but just a little cream on the finish. Long finish that highlights the grapefruit. Really fantastic wine.

PnP, 15 min glass time. Clear, light straw color. Good, med nose. Initially drank like it should and typical of a good CA Chard. Good tension, full bodied, decent fruit and proper fruit profile but the oak with time overwhelmed the wine. Drink now. $71 winery direct.

Nice fruit and oak on the nose. Lovely palate, showing a unique cinnamon note on the finish. Really nice wine. I’m not sure it will improve so I’d drink now.

This was good, but frankly I have preferred the WS Unoaked which I have tried in the past. Upon opening, there was a surprising amount of vanilla. I think it is a mistake to drink this too cold as well. Probably upper 50s is a good temperature.

Theme was Napa or Sonoma white, blind. We brought this one, and a 2015 WS Unoaked Chardonnay, to see the contrast. It was a good experiment. One could get the oak influence, but it was definitely a light touch. The color was a little richer than the unoaked. Nose also had a touch of butterscotch, a nice touch, no cloying. Palate was, to me, classic WS Chardonnay, which I love. Pears and apples, a touch of citrus, very smooth. Long finish. Delightful.

Very nice modern California Chardonnay, with the oak dialed back and decent minerality. That said, it doesn’t really resemble Burgundy. Pleasant pineapple flavor which evolved into overtly tropical notes as it warmed up. Good acidity, pliant texture.

Nice Chard. Oak was a little much when first opened but mellowed out over time. Became very nice when the oak was in balance. Good acidity with notes of apples and pear.

Pale gold in color with slow legs. Nice balance of oak and fruit on the nose. A little spice hits the tip of the tongue followed by lemon, pear and cantalope. A full bodied chard with long bright finish and balanced acidity. Not normally a white wine drinker but would buy this again.

Lean, sleek and citric with good balance of fruit, acid and touch of vanilla oak. A delightful Chardonnay drinking well now and over next 4-5 years.
