The Syrah and Petite Sirah were really at the forefront in this bottle, with meatier flavor elements complemented by black fruit covering the palate. I liked it better than the others, although we all had a preference for the Willow Creek Cuvee that was opened along side it.

Really enjoyed this. It has settled down since I first tried it, 14 months ago, and is now in the early phase of its drinking window. The tannins are well integrated and the ripe black fruits and faint licorice note on the palate are simply delicious. The only thing holding it back is a somewhat subdued nose. Still have one bottle in the cellar, but I’d rather have 6!

Nose has candied red fruit, smoked meat, blueberries, light spice
Savory palate, juicy and concentrated blue fruit, blackberries, vanilla, tannins are so well integrated right now. Almost no grip just a velvety, long, textured finish.
Run this by someone who likes big cabs- the structure and texture will astound for the price.

Sampled at the winery. 70% Syrah, 50% whole cluster. Some of the fruit comes from James Berry and G2. Huge wine, smoky meat, pepper, great oak treatment. Deep and rich but needs time.

Popped and poured. Dark garnet with a nearly opaque core. Pure, luscious dark brambles with pepper and spice. Very primary at this moment in its evolution but there's a lot to enjoy. Plenty of balance to last a while. Long finish. A real gem of a wine. Drink now or hold.

Dark fruit, full body, jammy, nice balance - very nice wine. Syrah dominates.

A beautiful wine. Though high alcohol, it did not come through on the palate. Very soft especially for a syrah. A lovely wine. Wish I had more.

This has really come around and is just firing on all cylinders. Drank with the Willow Creek Cuvee and this is more complex and smokier.

Dark fruit, rich, supple, but a bit one note. Perhaps it needs more time.
