This wine is in a great drinking spot right now. Everything has mellowed and the initial bite this wind tends to have when young is not there. We did this as a part of a 2015-17 vertical. This got half the votes.

Unreal. Opened up a little tight, but after a quick decant it blossomed. Nose of kirsch and a deep chocolate. Dark cherry, wrapped in chocolate, wrapped in cassis. Tremendously deep and dark, but also so rich and accessible. I can't get enough of this wine.

Pop and pour. This has relaxed in the last six months with a full, silky body of milk chocolate, cherry, rhubarb pie, and mild chewy tannins. Delicious crowd pleaser at peak but no rush.

Not sure I would have pegged this as a Rhône blend - the initial blast on the nose reminded me of a zin but that was left to give aromas of darker red fruit, hint of spice, but seems muddled to me. I’ve been spoiled by the spectacular GSMs of Paso, and this just can’t compete in force or precision. Left a bit underwhelmed.
The wine has medium acidity. It smells like plum, tea, light toast, oak, stoniness, black currant (cassis) and cherry. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like mineral, tobacco, black currant (cassis), cherry, oak, medicinal, bell pepper and light toast. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. Recommend serving with beef or hard cheese to soften the grip of the tannins and increase the breadth of the experience.

Pop and pour. Full-bodied Napa Rhone blend with cherry pie, black pepper, velvety tannins. Room for improvement with a little more bottle age but delicious now.

Wow. Was looking at the Relic allocation today and so decided to open this and remind myself of Ritual and see if we needed to get more. Damn it's good. Big, black, brooding at the start, but after a bit of time the finesse is there. Cherry, kirsch, cola, all the southern Rhone flavors are there. It packs a punch and doesn't have the high tone acid, but man it's delicious. Rich, snooth and full of flavor.

26/26/24/21/3 Mourvedre/Grenache/Syrah/Carignan/Petite Sirah. Medium nose shows dark style, brooding, black pepper, game, blackberry. Palate is more expressive, layers of dark fruit, blackberry, black skin, eggplant, blood iron, big wine, dark and juicy. Medium plus tannins, body, alcohol.

Deep dark color. Nice bouquet to the nose, blackberry and licorice to the palate. Light on the tannins and smooth finish on the backend.
