This wine is made of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Semillon and is raised in oak barrels of which 1/3 is new . It has a somewhat rustic bouquet with mineral impressions and green herbs. On the palate white and yellow fruits, grasses, herbs, vanilla, beautiful acidity and a good length. Beautiful wine.

For the price, nowhere near as exciting or good as I would expect. It's very one-dimensional too much semi yo makes it to smooth and planned it is a 15 perhaps it's tired but I would not get this again and certainly never even think about it at the price

A blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Sémillon, 13.5% ABV. Final bottle from a half case. Particularly lovely today, on a particularly lovely day in early autumn. It doesn’t have the length or the precision of the Grand Vin, but it is well turned out, expressive and well balanced.

Showing very well today, a very successful second vin, which really delivers a lot of the style and the quality of the Grand Vin for about one-third of the price. Delicious, at peak.

Performs at the level of a minor Cru Classé, and is priced accordingly. It is clearly a chip off the Grand Vin’s block in that it shares its character, but it does not have its authority or effortless flowing finesse. Impressive flavour intensity (especially for a second wine), lots of fruit and oak, pungent, with sufficient minerally freshness to give it drive and length. Drink now and over the next couple of years.

Pretty fragrant nose of green pepper, clay earth, leeks and a bit of coconut. Medium bodied. Good and distinctive wine, but not sure it was my cup of tea.

K&L Bordeaux Tasting (San Francisco): Light green. Pungent, varietal aromas. Medium weight with very good feel. Excellent acidity and stoniness. Dry with good cut despite its relative richness. Quality second wine and fairly well priced.

70/30 Sauv blanc / Semillon. Fresh and lively with good mid palate. Well judged.

Elegant, fresh and equilibrated. A perfect second vin at an affordable price. Excellent with a Dover sole.

Okhuysen tasting: a nice complexity (white fruit, vanilla, small flowers), lovely bitters, some spices, smooth and a nice finish.
