Very fresh and elegant style of syrah. Peppery and savory on the nose. Meat, herbs, olives. Really bold on the palate but not at all heavy - just a ton of beautiful flavor.

Thought this was one of the more special wines I've had in a while. It is light bodied as many other reviewers state. There's quite a bit of vanilla on the nose. I thought jrpas1 captured the flavor profile quite well a couple of years ago. The delicacy and flavor profile made it an excellent companion to a somewhat lighter dish than I'd normally choose to pair with Syrah. In this case, pork cutlets with green garlic salsa verde.

Very light color, almost Pinot Noir like. Nose is somewhat muted. His is a very different style of California Syrah. Very feminine. I like that it’s not an over ripe, syrupy sweet style but I don’t like that it has very little structure, flavor layers or more Syrah character. There is also a green bitter finish to the Wine. Could be a bad bottle I don’t know. This will not be a long aging Syrah. Id have to say I’m not a fan of this and at around $50 has a terrible QPR. If you like this Wine I’d like to hear your thought.
Roasted meats, roses, fresh dirt, sagebrush and plenty of oak on the nose. Green peppers, black pepper, plums and cherry in tasting with some salinity on the finish.

Drank against a 2015 Kanzler Russian River (1st and a 2015 Dehlinger Goldridge Pinot (2nd) and this came in 3rd but was very close. Very light in color which doesn’t mean it’s not good. Nose is lots of vanilla and good extraction but not like the Kanzler or Dehlinger. I found the finish a bit short and not quite the complexity of flavors compared to the Russian RiverPinots. This has more oak that s more obvious. It is also a little more ripe in style and has more earthy & dirt notes which I like. This is a really good wine no doubt.
Black olive and salty brine notes which are present in the glass and on the palate. Light colored for a SRH Syrah, surprise, looks like a Pinot Noir. Blackberry, red fruit, and good minerals. Surprised how dialed back and elegant this wine turned out with 100% whole cluster.

A fairly impressive syrah. More of everything in comparison to the estate syrah. I would compare this favorably to a Rhys.
