This wine is a light-bodied ruby with a nose of strawberry, cotton candy, and dirt (perfect, lol). The palate agrees, and has medium- tannin and med+ acid, with additional floral notes, dust, and cinnamon. Very pleasant sandwich wine, great deal for the money imo. Would be great for large groups, "mixed" company. Just about anybody would be happy with this one. How do I explain this wine? It's like a bubble gum cowboy, or Sex and Candy. If I had to be picky (at less than $10 it pays to be forgiving), it is very light. Some years I've read descriptions of "watery", I don't get that, for 2016 anyway. ABV is 12.5%. Cork. Recommend! Buy a case or two for those evenings with TV dinners and a session of youtube porn...you won't be disappointed.

A pretty, creamy strawberry nose which initially translates to the palate before a bitter rustic mid palate takes over followed by a little spicy red fruit lift to the finish. Got a 50cl bottle for £5.50 at my local supermarket. Odd size but sometimes useful. Would have got a better score but after a nice nose and pleasantly fresh attack it drops away disappointingly.

This isn't going to knock your socks off but it drinks well. Floral and peppery notes of red and black cherries, ripe strawberries, and hibiscus atop textbook Village weight and complexity. Perfect in a pinch.

Very nice beaujolais. At first the nose seemed a bit off but that cleared in less than an hour. Lovely berry aromas, attractive magenta hue, tangy acidity, medium body; hard to stop drinking it and reserve the second half of the bottle for tomorrow... sometimes a little discipline is called for. Right now an irresistible $6.95 at Mission Wines & Spirits in L.A. I took one home and opened it posthaste. Perfect with aged domestic Swiss cheese. Not a bit disappointed: no, not complex, but quite correctly elaborated and satisfying.

Flat and uninspiring. No joy or character. On par with box wine or 3 buck chuck.

Pleasantly rustic, rocky, and (black earth 'dirty' core, draped by tart purple berry fruit. Nicely balanced.

Strawbwery nose. Balanced berry and pepper flavor. Nice light to mid-body, and good pairing with intense cheese.

Sour Cherry, Raspberry, with little tannins evident. Acidity evident and pleasant, I enjoyed a glass last evening without food.

The profile that I love in wine: low tannin, no oak taste, dry, wonderful acid. The 2016 seems to have less body than previous years.
