Chardonnay aromas with yellow apples, flowers, smoke and minerals. The smooth fatness from the Chardonnay paired well with the somewhat sharp minerality.

enjoyed from a magnum and I have paired it with a grilled seabass. still young, very gentle use of the wood. light yellow colour with some citric nose. Prevalence of citric fruits, mineral and savoury, very fresh and long!

Actually the 2nd of 2 bottles. The first one consumed in November was advanced and insipid in comparison, if not out and out flawed, my main impression being 'meh' with speculation about oxidation. This bottle shows a wine whose nose is flinty and a bit closed, followed by an intense lemon burst that persists on the basis of a chalky/powdered oyster shell element. Ergo, I suppose the comparisons to Chablis are apt, despite 900 miles between them. At the same time, how much fruit is really there under all that acid? If I had a 3rd bottle I wouldn't treat it as a Chablis in terms of cellaring, I'd drink it in a year or two.

Well...a new experience with the Chardonnay varietal. On nose: toasted hazelnuts, dried apricot and smoke. On palate:bracing minerality , subtle oak , cigar tobacco ripe apple , vanilla and some faint citrus....one generous taster in our group suggested"Meursault produced in Italy"....I wouldn't go that far....lol....but this wine does have a singular character, and is worth revisiting....went well with Salmon.

I love this wine - fantastic value for a full bodied delicous wine. This has aromas of honey and lemon with similar flavors plus chamomile and a slight bitter/spiced after-taste.

Wine Watch Ft. Lauderdale - Passopisciaro Tasting. - Very light lemon yellow colored with a nose of white flowers and citrus. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon, and maybe some stone fruit. Heavy minerality with dust and chalk. Well made with crisp acidity, ripe fruit, and fine tannins. I agree with others regarding the unpleasant heat from it's alcohol content. Nice lingering finish. Good Chardonnay, it's minerality and lack of oak tastes, clearly differentiates it from the usual California chard. I found it hard to differentiate from Chablis.

Well made Chardonnay from Sicily. A bit one dimensional nose with clear lemon flavours and some minerals but not much more. Good acidity on the palate, just a hint of heat on the backend which I didn’t like. Lovely saltines in the aftermath. Good wine but I expected a bit more. Nevertheless I think that Etna is absolutely one of the best Terroirs in Italy to produce excellent white wine with a cool climate footprint.

Minerals, saline with hints of citrus. Great backbone. Still peaking. I'll try another bottle in 6-12 months.

Light and refreshing medium acidity - a very pleasant wine - you get a rather nutty taste together wine line and some ripe apple - solid 90.

Clear medium yellow. Ripe nutty, lemon and oyster shell nose. Ripe creamy lemon flavours. Slightly ripe finish but still clean and a bit mineral.

Clear light yellow. Ripe nutty nose, rich lemon fruit with a fair bit of mineral. Rich lemon and almond flavours and a balanced rich finish.
This was very nice, a bit of richness is apparent. This was formerly the Guardiola.
