No scholastic research and commensurate diatribe, just neutral impressions. Previous fellow contributors have expertly specified all contributing details and specifications for this wine. Clear, light yellow, the color of the dried straw I fed today to some goats at a local Maine farm. As the wine is straight from the ice box, (we’ll revisit this a little later) the nose is muted with aromas of vanilla wax, a slight whiff of Alsatian petrol, and the promise of perhaps more expression from the trilogy of varietals. Later: Bizarre flashback of the “aromas” reminiscent of those found in a 1960s Air Force hanger of F-86 and T-33 jets, idle, lubed, greased, polished, and cooled down after a hard days work. The mouthfeel is predictably light and bright (no indication of the alcohol level, perhaps 10% to 12%, per the sweetness from the Riesling), with a slightly disjointed flavor profile, with the varietals vying for prominence, reminiscent of a hungry three headed creature sharing one body and one plate of food. The wine is more of a delineated parfait rather than a harmonious blend, with the Riesling providing the sweet and tropical acidic layer, the Gruner Veltliner imparting a more stern, crisp and steely acidity along with citrus flavors and a slight salt and pepper quality just below, especially on the finish in the throat, followed by the Chardonnay contributing more of an anonymous textural component to the bottom layer of the blend. The overall finish is one of a mashing of citrus and grape skins, enveloped in a slightly honeyed wax presence. Do I like it - Yes. It is enjoyable and would, though delicate in nature, likely hold its own in any savory, sweet or herbed-spiced environment. Do I understand it - not without trying multiple types of cuisine pairings. I imagine the wine will adapt and morph per the respective food flavor and preparation variables. A well made wine looking for its identity, which in this case may be unnecessary. 11/08/22-A Weimer Winery representative just replied back to me with the alcohol level being 11.8%.

Well made, friendly wine though an unusual combo of grapes and flavors. The chard adds body, the GV and Riesling, mineral notes. Reasonably high acidity though I find it hard to pair with food.

Hard wine to describe but pleasant to sip and OK with light bodied food. Definitely some GV notes but the body is more like chard. Hard to find the Riesling notes other than hints of mineral. A bit more acidic than I prefer but the balance is good.

Tasted at the winery. A mix of Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay and Riesling, showing spices, floral notes and light peach and the nose. Between light and medium bodied with a lightly tart white peach and a white orange quality upfront. Mid-body shows a touch more density and some mixed white orchard fruit notes with some softer notes behind. Balanced acidity on the back, enough to provide structure, but not a lot of contrast. As other reviewers have noted, a very accessible and enjoyable light white, but I would've expected a bit more distinct complexity, given the grape blend at work here. Drink over the next two years.

Pleasant wine but a bit hard to describe given the mix of varietals. Just a touch off dry but nowhere near sweet with stone fruit notes from the chard and mineral from the GV and Riesling and just a touch of "oil" from the Riesling. Pairs OK with mild foods but probably better to sip.

Pleasant wine to sip. Flavors appear to be quite sensitive to temp. At 46 degrees from my wine fridge, nice notes of pineapple and even mineral on the nose. Soft stone fruits followed by grapefruit on the palate. Overall a bit unusual so hard to pin it down. But a good quaffer.

Served to a group at Watkins Glen after a Ravines Rose; came of as almost sweet though it isn't. Perhaps too cold, straight out of ice water. Definitely crowd friendly, esp. for sipping. More chard notes than GV or Riesling, despite Wiemer claiming it is predominately GV. I'm now interested in how the next bottle tastes!
NV but this one must be primarily 2019

Tasted at the winery and impressive. had 2 days later at the track straight from the ice chest and it was the perfect end of a summer day. Crowd friendly and sophisticated; hard to pick out all of the grapes but chard dominates to my taste, even though supposed to be more GV

Better than most tasting notes would lead me to believe. I found this a simple but delicious, savory wine. It’s not really a summer pounder, more like a rainy day companion.

A blend of Gruner, Riesling and Chardonnay—this is a pleasant, light summer wine, but nothing more. Nose is mostly citrus and peach. Palate is a little better—lemon, lime, peach and ginger. The wine would be better if it had a little more body, a little more minerality.

Light and crisp. A hint of sweet but dry enough to pair well with a nice grilled chicken mixed green salad. Served it well chilled - as cold as we could get it. Really enjoyed it.

Pleasant when opened at wine fridge temp (fairly warm); less character at refrig temp. Not as good the second day; holds up well with food. Get both chard and GV notes on the nose; nice mix of fruit and mineral. Medium+ body with a bit of an odd finish, esp. on the second day.

Light straw gold in color. The nose shows aromas of citrus, flowers, minerals, cream, herbs and a hint of pepper. This is light bodied on the palate with decent concentration but good class. Round and inviting. The medium length finish features a mineral element.

Continues to impress for an inexpensive daily white; GV and chard influences both show up. Rich body, expressive nose of pear plus hints of citrus. Nice fruit with good acid on the palate. Best with food but OK to sip as well

PnP, chilled. An interesting blend of Gruner Veltliner, Riesling and Chardonnay. A slight peachy aroma. The medium palate displays elements of the Riesling -- some off-dry peach; as well as of the Gruner - some herbal notes, along with juicy acidity. All in all, a simple but pleasant wine.

Great when opened (at cellar temp). Peach and apricot on the nose, continues on the palate. Rich mouth feel without any sweetness. Body held up well with charcoal grilled chicken. If you take the time to notice, the GV and chard show up at different points during the medium + finish.
Wasn't as good the second night when chilled so I guess it needs to be drunk when opened!

Really nice wine for a "daily" or "house" wine! Pear and apple notes on the nose (better as it warms up). Peach/apricot and citrus notes on palette, nice viscosity, moderate finish. Definitely pick up some of the GV notes but also undertones of the Riesling; chardonnay seems muted but definitely contributes to the body.
