Deep garnet with a rusty rim. Lots of raspberry preserves immediately on the nose. Dark chocolate, and spice follow. Palate adds coffee, sweet oak, raisin, and black pepper. Very Napa, but some complexity there. Peak drinking.

Dark Ruby fading to dark pink with a watery rim. Blueberry/boysenberry and vanilla on the nose. Full mouthfeel with grippy tannins, that coat the gumbs and mediuim-low acidity. Medium-long aftertaste with a touch of astringency. Not my cup of tea, but well made. If Cali zins are your thing, I hope you enjoy it. The alcohol is "only" 14.5%, so there's that. Better than a year ago. Drink now or hold up through 2024.

Dark Ruby color with thin watery rim. Bing cherry, spice, vanilla, and dark fruit on the nose. On the palate, there are more red fruits, a medium body, good acidity, and shaggy tannins. I am not a zinfandel fan, which may influence my score more than it should. Would not buy again, but the same goes for the last 20 zins I have had.

One of the better zinfandels I've had! Took a moment to open up. Long legs, great flavor. Little bit of spice and has a soft boquet with berries and minerals. Nice all the way through.

(Day 2) - color: medium-dark purple; nose: oak and cherry; taste:medium-bodied mouthfeel, slightly chewy red fruit taste, medium-length finish with some gum-sucking tannins; overall: enjoyable weeknight wine, ready to drink now (December 2019), should pair well with braised meat, e.g. beef stew or pork ragout

This was harsh, acidic, and unbalanced. Tasted like a petite sirah with stems and crushed seeds. There's a reason PA got this for cheap and is selling for $14.

really good, dark cherry and a hint of spice. Touch of dust and tannins. Fairly dry.

Excellent QPR on this Napa Zin. A sturdy wine that, unlike many Napa reds, is not overly oaked.

Solid wine with great QPR. Delicious straight out of the bottle. Best when served at temperature.
