Double decanted for 2.5 hrs, deep ruby, blueberries on both the nose & palate, med/firm tannins, long finish; outstanding & may still get better! I believe that it's just entering its prime drinking, drink or hold, no rush

Dark, smooth, blueberry cobbler, so deep and luscious. Held up well with Pivot. Huge nose, complex, drinking well but still young. Acid does balance the fruit. Hints of vanilla, ripe cherries, and a super long finish. The nose really blows you away.

Always satisfying to share a great wine with experienced wine drinkers who have never tasted an Alban much less a Lorraine or Seymour’s. They were all blown away by the classics Alban taste profile and were begging me to open another, sorry I had to tell them….. no effing way.

Fresh blackberry and cassis and foresty spices, powerful and lively fruit, with a lovely and persistent finish. Drank over two nights, with no significant development, suggesting a long future. A treat.

This is in a great place right now, still youthful with gripping but not overly assertive tannins, great deep dark fruit profile and perfect balance. Decanted for two hours and enjoyed over a long evening, last glass was the best glass. Drink or hold.

Took to Sullivans for b-day dinner and drank along side the 2012 SQN Stock. Didn't take detailed notes but this was excellent but did not quite reach the purity and complexity of the SQN.

AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN LAST TIME. when the people at dinner say this was as good or better than the Saxum, (i love Saxum) 2015 Bone rock you know you have a great bottle of wine.

Wonderful to try this again. This wine has power and grace dark blackberry, black cherry and bit of tobacco and spice. Not as brooding as when I first tried this in the past. The wine has depth but if I would knock one thing it lacks a bit of expanse. I question if this will improve much but I’m looking forward to the wait.

Checked back in after about a year and only getting better. Though young I wonder how much more can it improve? Well I’ve got 4 more to follow its path.

Certainly quite the crowd pleaser. Delicious. Super young, but very drinkable. As expected, a ton of glorious fruit...but, as always, balanced with decent acidity and overall structure.

Absolutely fabulous. PNP and drank over a couple hour period with a friend. Gripping, voluptuous, complex and massively flavorful. Textures and layers of flavors came in waves. 95 points are the most I have ever given a wine, but I guess it could have been 100. The wine was flawless.

My first bottle from my first allocation of Lorraine. Really think it needs another 12 months to balance itself out.
