  • Quite atypical and disappointing at this stage. 3h decant, cigar-box nose, trademark appearance, but nothing typical on the palate. Too much acidity and too much heat. In blind tasting, I would have guessed an inferior Margaux–just to show how far away we are from type here. (Of course) no tertiary notes which one might expect after almost 10 years. 3-4 more years in the cellar may help to address some of the issues, but, for a Pomerol, this is rather underwhelming. Wouldn't open another bottle until 2025/2026.
