Meaty, plummy, bloody and stoney on the nose - just how it should be. Tart, yet inviting palate of slightly bitter black cherry, plum liquorice and fine, sticky tannins. Loads of acidity leads to a mouthwatering earthy, peppery spiced fruit and cherry schnapps finish.

Medium purple, closed initially opens up with intense minerality, spices, animal, leafs and oaky notes. Intense on the palate, quite rich and medium to full body, vanilla, black fruits, a bit jam, nice balance on tannins and acidity, long finish!

Drinking well now but some legs yet. Classic TL tannin action - seriously dry but not overly aggressive. Fruit is light by comparison but true to the region with game and red berries.

Bright fruit profile with noticeable acidity. Tasty with food but this bottle did not taste like any Cornas I have had. Had calmed down a bit on the second day

Cornas black fruit and wet earth nose...elegant fruit forward modern syrah meets barnyard terroir. Very well made, but a wine with a schizo personality

Decanted. New world meets Cornas, and the result is pretty good but lacks soul, as most TL wines do. That said, this is a very well-made wine. Forward dark fruits(blueberry predom), with mocha oak treatment. secondary game and garrigue with moderate tannins. Fortunately the N. Rhone elegance was still lurking around. The wine got better as it sat around, which suggests this could age pretty well. The finish was a little pinched but def. acceptable. 1/2 oz in bottle next morning was hardly oxidized. Will be an interesting counterpoint to clape, voge et al in a tasting down the road.

Improved and even better than last year, great balance of acidity tannins and body-intensity

Nice ripeness but not a whole lot of character.
13.5% ABV, sealed with cork.

Odd, would never have said this was Cornas, sweet creamy vanilla, ripe fruit, uninteresting.
