Intense floral nose, oak, ripe stonefruit, fennel, melons, some heat. Palate is fat, oily, some fresh acidity to balance sweetness, still some heat. Medium length finish. Difficult to drink a lot of this one, feels big, including the headache! A bit closed? Will try again tomorrow. Better on day 2, acid felt fresher, was also served colder.

Fermented in cool temperatures. Aged in once or twice used demi-muids (85%) and new oak casks (15%). 13,5% alcohol. Tasted half-blind.
Pale lemon yellow color. Ripe and quite sweet-toned nose of white peach and nectarine, some honeyed rich notes, a little bit of hay, light steely mineral notes, a sweet hint of grapey fruit and a touch of sappy herbal spice. The wine is moderately full-bodied and slightly oily, but also very fresh and lively on the palate wit hflavors of ripe pear, some apple jam, a little bit of hay, light notes of quince, a hint of floral spice and a touch of stony minerality. The acidity feels surprisingly high for a Viognier, lending good sense of intensity and clarity to the wine. The alcohol shows a little bit through. The finish is ripe, long and slightly waxy with fresh flavors of white peach, some pear and quince, a little bit of hay, light mineral notes of wet stones, a hint of savory wood spice and a touch of floral complexity.
A very fresh, balanced and refined Condieu that shows good focus and sense of clarity. In a half-blind tasting of mainly-Condrieu Viogniers, this wine managed to perform really well, coming across as noticeably less heavy, less oaky and less alcoholic than many of its peers. Seeing how youthful and vibrant the wine was, I can see this continuing to develop in a cellar for at least a handful of years.

Fresh steely nose but a chemical note from the oak I think, seemed high alcohol without fruit and balance as well.. A bit harsh on the palate. Coravined, will look at in a few days.

Great stone fruit notes on the nose with nice minerality. Rich, not too much acidity, the mid palate was very pleasant but the finish was shorter than expected. Good pairing with a spiced foie gras.

Love the producer, the grape, and the vintage. But this was just totally blah. Not much fruit here and just some oak. I dont know what predominant flavor that a grape could give that I sensed. It was mostly just a rhone white that was quaffable.

Small tasting glass @ VINEUM during service, so a brief note. I taste this wine on a regular basis and am fond of it's linear and mineral style while also displaying the Viognier expression!

I love Condrieu but this one is rough around the edges with astringency. I might hold this one a bit longer but not really sure how it will age.

A bit too cold to start. Some oakiness on the nose and palate. Not as distinctive as many Condrieus, but enjoyable with some minerality on finish.

A week in the Northern Rhone; 12/7/2018-12/15/2018 (Lyon, Vienne, Ampuis, Chavanay, Hermitage, Cornas, St. Joseph, Condrieu & Paris): At the Chapoutier tasting room. 100% aged in oak demi-muids for 8 mos. Despite the oak treatment, this seems to be quite fresh and not as fat on the tongue as some condrieus - the acidity here keeps it lively.

Bit thin and overoaked, but still good wine.
