Slightly reductive opening with butter and popcorn, stems and marzipan. Intense, deep and dense, power and structure united. Yellow citrus fruit with some root vegetables. Wonderfully balanced through a lengthy finish. Splendid now.

Exceeded my expectations - I can find Clos cloying, at least for Chablis, and then it tastes like Chassagne which is fine, but not what I ordered. Here no such trouble. The nose is surprisingly lemon lime. In the mouth, potent seashell minerality is followed by hazlenut on the midpalate and then unripe tangerine on the finish. Would benefit from even more sour but I am picking nits. Great purity here. Glad I have a few more.

2017 Louis Michel Chablis (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Complex, deeply pitched aromas. More pear than citrus, excellent sweetness, feel, and soil base. Less acidity and salinity than the 2017's but an almost creamy texture. Could use more grip.

bummed out, had one btl of this from K&L and it was awesome... bought a six pack therefore and this was the first bottle... the experience was nothing like the first... hope it was just an off bottle or an off "time" to drink... will try to wait six months before trying next... people preferred the Kumeu (NZ) Mate's 2014 over this
really nice chablis, with typicity and a touch of sweetness to balance the citrus and minerals... good cross over wine to serve a crowd, and pretty good QPR... bought a six pack

Some More 2016 Louis Michel Chablis (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Complex nose of oyster shell and herb more than fruit. Broad and seamless in the mouth with excellent glycerine. Fruit is again in the ripe pear rather than citrus register. Excellent concentration, buffering acidity, and length. The most complete, satisfying wine in the line up although by no means a great Clos or one that requires extended aging.

No flaws here, but not very enjoyable.

this bottle (unlike the last) was spot on, with a vibrant peach intermixed with seashell and great minerality. Excellent

Good but, as always, the ripeness of the grand cru is not my thing. 13%
