Another level... Slightly brown in colour but ruby core. Leathery aromas. Searing acidity and precision. Superb depth and richness in the centre. Long and endlessly seductive. Sensational. So much power and intensity.

Surprisingly ready and red fruit driven given its a 16 Malconsorts. It is actually not showing much of the Dujac spice sensation. Palate is ripe and giving already. Interesting to see how it develops. It is not very Dujac at this point of the evolution to me.

Malconsorts theme'd session, double-blind... Decanted into a Voss-btl for ~4+hrs prior to serving. Scents of dark-fruits with tinge of spice wafted from the glass. Almost majestic & aristocratic on the palate, with the intensity & weight/stuffing taking center-stage. Satiny & velvety, this glided effortlessly across the palate with a nice freshness to it, culminating in a long finish. Still, this was more muscular than beauty at this juncture, and can't wait to taste this again with more age!
“2016: The vintage of Morey St. Denis”: 2018 Tasting at Domaine Dujac: Just a beautiful, perfumed nose of black fruit and subtle dark florals. Very fine, satiny and seductive on palate. Mainly dark cherries, cassis and minerals. Beautifully integrated spherical tannins. I noted some iron-like austerity at the core of the Malconsorts. Jeremy described “a little hardness on the finish”. Notwithstanding its superficial sexiness, this Malconsorts needs serious cellar time. A star of a wine.

Tasted together with Liger-Belair’s Reignots, Dujac’s Malconsorts shows darker fruit, along with excellent, complex spice but not cloyingly obvious either as I find with some Vosne. Shows medium freshness and drive through the palate, with excellent persistence on the finish. Good fine tannin and power. This is Vosne, right near its core. Look forward to following this over time.
From a cask or tank sample, didn't get the timing of the sampling. Mike notes a beautiful spice character. To me, tighter and more forest floor. Softness with underlying power. Softness but its a big wine underneath. Alec notes that they consider it a premier cru in name only. He also notes a long length and that is very true. Immense length.

Tasting at Domaine Dujac (Morey St Denis): Barrel tasting at domaine. Wow, excellent seductive Vosne spice and black cherry nose. Darker fruit here, that is so well concentrated (GC-level) with amazing levels of spice. Great depth and velvety texture. Long finish. 95+ points.

Modern, perfumed, dense and quite easy to like. Typical Dujac I would say, and more Dujac than Malconsorts.
Pnp.

Red and black fruits are tinged with floral spice. It is velvety and voluminous, with good underlying mineral tension. Length is fabulous.
