Sweet and tart cherries, skins and all, blackberry, really ripe strawberry and biscuit dough with white pepper, wet slate and roses on the nose. In the mouth it starts with a bowl of fresh crushed red and blue berries, mint iced tea with cranberry fruit leather, brambly spice and a hint of celery seed. Bright mouth watering acidity and soft powdery tannins.
A really pretty wine.

My first Bone-Jolly rosé was the 2013 vintage (opened in 2014). It did not appeal and I couldn’t see the reason for all the hype this wine gets. Now, three years on, it seemed appropriate to give this pop following another shot. Like the 2013, it’s a beauty in the glass; captivating pastel pink. While there is good balance of fruit and acidity - something the 2013 lacked - the fruit is watermelon and herbs with basil and arugula dominating. As much as I like basil, a biting, bitter finish is not something I seek in my wines. This isn’t a poorly made wine, but rather not my style of rosé. 12.7% alc. With chicken salad. Recommended with reservations.

Lean, crunchy, fresh, joyful. Great sour cherry/raspberry perfume.

Super light. Light-bodied. Low-alc. Sapper. Good with a slight chill.

No official note as we consumed later in the day. But quite nice and very good with the BBQ ribs.

Needs a few days to come around. Lots of black fruits, crisp acidity, and old wood. Fruity and enjoyable.

Had this had Selden Standard. Very good. Very, very good. Mild tartness, elegant, lip-smacking Gamay.

Red fruit (cherry, cranberry), tart, slight spice, good acidity. Almost a slight effervescence. Really enjoyable.
