  • Very happy with this. Some complexity but beautifully easy to drink and enjoy. Drink now and the next 3 years?

  • My first bottle was about 3 months ago and I was just underwhelmed and couldn’t think of anything particularly good or bad to say about it. This second bottle was much more interesting (maybe root day last time versus flower day this???) - with some lovely strawberry flavours, great balance from integrated tannins and nicely judged acidity. Bottled under screwcap I cannot see any rush to drink this...

  • On open pretty thin so I let it sit for 1.5 hours. Much better now. Nose of strawberry, raspberry, anise, pine, candy, violet, roses, faint shoe polish, faint rubber. Drinking slightly bitter, cassis, cherry, oak, finish Sherry and red fruits even if a bit shallow. Acidity and tannins makes me believe you can sit on this wine for a few more years. Leaves an astringent sensation. An alright wine.

  • Nice bottle. On open pretty thin nose of strawberry, raspberry, anise, pine. Would not have bought it again if that's where it ended. Drank half a bottle over 2 hours and it has really opened up. Same nose just bigger. Drinking it - it is following the nose. It does taste a bit young, acid is pretty prominent but it is calming down after 2 hours. Alcohol very well integrated. In a blind set up I could have believed it was a low end Burgundy Premier Cru..with a bit less character. A bit too pure and clean, maybe will give up a bit more with time. I would let it rest for a bit or at least give it a 2 hour decant. Day 2 after 2 hours in the glass I would bump it up a point or two. Still a bit acidic. Anise more pronounced.

  • [Pop-up@TwoPaddocks w Sam] Dark berry, rose, raspberry, lingonberry. Ashy umami. Extremely clean, graphite notes, in good concentration. Went well with our chicken liver parfait.
