- Medium forming legs. It's lacking fruit with a medium body. Narrow texture with a medium finish - Opaque purple, brown core fading to a purple brownish rim. Black cherry, plum, raspberry and slight barnyard on the nose. Blackberry, cassis and slight pepper on the palate. Soft tannins with a bit of acidity. Medium finish. Maybe about one or two years to late in opening this bottle. Overall not bad, but a bit unbalanced.

This is now fully mature. The once firm tannins have really softened, ande everything is well-integrated. Nice acidity keeps it lively and balanced. Not that long or complex, but a very satisfying wine at a good price. This is a better wine in my opinion than the more expensive (and more lavishly oaked) Red Mountain Reserve.

Cherry leather nose; dark, medium-dark color; tart, thick. Needed to sit longer.

Very nice, elegant, mature Washington cab. I would drink this up over the next several years.
