An evening with George (Bistro Cocotte, Haberfield): Black fruits, sweet spice, a little earth, slightly concentrated, but with a sense of freshness, a touch of meaty underpin as well, slightly funky. Juicy, plenty of textured grip dries out the palate, fresh black fruits, a sense of concentration with being over done, lovely fresh, pleasing.

Tasted at the domaine. Light floral feminine aromatics. Super fresh again. Good concentration on the palate although not to the level of the NSG La Richemone Ultra. Should be very good.

Annual Roi Chambertin tasting: 2016 Gevreys from village to grand cru (Espace Chambertin, Bourgogne): Very rich and juicy; lovely wine and befitting the name: charming!
