Nose is medium with notes of fresh red fruits, smoked cayenne powder and forest mushrooms. Developing
Palate is dry, with medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium- alcohol, medium bodied and medium+ intensity. Flavors of sweet sour raspberries, cherries and hints of dried shiitake mushrooms on the finish. Medium+ finish.
Overall nice mid palate wine with good structure and length without being overly complex and mind boggling.

By the glass at the BA Lounge LHR. Felt freshly opened. The irony of times as this was probably the wine tasted on the last business trip pre covid back in Feb 2020 ( Papies 89) and now is out of randomness the wine of the first post covid travel.. Spice abs rich red fruit and blind we would have thought this was Aussie Shiraz. Soft round feel and if one pushes through that new world feel and slight confectionery edge ( unless of course one likes this side in wine) this is a pretty enjoyable and welcoming wine. 89-90

By the glass at the BA lounge, LHR. No clues here as to when this was opened. Half full bottle. Restraint dark fruit and actually felt good at this young age , light smoky, meaty but more on the dark fruit side at this time and with a herby finish. Good 89

M. Chapoutier: Tour of the Rhone (SOBE Wine & Food Festival - Miami Beach): Bright magenta color. Very aromatic with a barbecued (even burned) meat, smoke and tobacco. It saw no barrel aging so I thought the amount of smoke was very interesting. Flavors of strawberry and tobacco and charred meat. Medium body. Medium-plus finish.

Day 2. Great aromas of plum and overripe strawberry. Some earth and leather. Sour cherry. Finishes long, with a slightly rustic edge.

Black fruit, blue fruit, olive, graham cracker, eucalyptus, and chocolate.
Excellent wine. Uniqueness makes the price worth it.
