Needed about 15 min to open up and never really gave much for your nose to appreciate but the delicious nature of the taste and rather long finish really made this wine special.

Decanted through a vinturi, it was still a bit tight on the nose initially. Then we tried it out of different glasses. Cover your eyes/ears now if you don't believe stemware makes a difference... The Reidel Extreme Pinot glass was a clear winner between it and their standard Vinum Burgundy glass AND the Oregon Pinot glass (which looks more like their sommelier's version). I was surprised because Josh Bergstrom leans towards Burgundy in styling his Pinots, and 5-7 years is a perfect window for his wines. The wine opens with juicy dark cherries, picks up some additional berry fruit, then earth/spice. Great texture and finish. Every sip better than the last. A "final" note: the finish almost seemed medicinal out of the other two glasses, beware!

Just keeps getting better. I love Oregon Pinot's and Bergstrom is right at the top. Solid, well balance with tons of fruit bursting out. One of the best.

The 05 Bergstrom, Lancelotti Vineyard, Pinot Noir had a fuchsia ruby red that was very deep in color but still transparent. The scents were light floral and when poured a little vanilla and then some marionberry all elegant if somewhat restrained at this point in its development. The attack was of new tannins that were somewhat green with red cherries and tart purple plums and leaner in the mouth than is sibling the Bergstrom vineyard Pinot Noir. I found this one more Burgundian and harder to appreciate at this stage of its development so could be underscored at: 50+5+11+17+8=91

Very nice and polished. Just right, age-wise. Nice nose, rich finish, some fruit.

Terrific Oregon Pinot. Everything I hoped it would be. Bought at auction and not disappointed.

Little soft on the open but given 30 minutes just explodes out of the glass with layers of berries. Bit of acid underneath.

Cherry, mineral and spice notes on the nose and palate with tasty acidity on the finish.

Still a baby, very good structure and well put together wine. Sour cherry, rasberry and tar on the palate.
