I’m thinking this bottle was flawed, if not, definitely past prime. White burgundy #novacru tasting. Dark yellow in the glass. Flabby. Petrrol, chemical element. Lacking acid.

This was pleasant, fuller bodied but with good acidity when first opened. Definitely on the downslope, as noted by other reviews. On day two, the remaining half of the bottle, stored in the fridge, was very flat with little except acidity left. Not unpleasant, just uninteresting. Drink what you have soon.

Past peak or just flat & tedious, this 16 white entry level Burgundy from François Carillon presented an uneventful drinking experience. Straw-yellow, emerging light golden in the glass. Fairly mute (restrained or bottomed-out?) nose with notes of citrus, smoke, minerality, peach. Palate, medium-bodied, is equally restrained, lacking not only fruit concentration but also acidity. Mature fruit as per nose, flat structure, ample richness, and with the most brief finish I have had in a while. Not flawed, but faded.

Delivers just what I would dial up for a basic white burgundy. Well-balanced even if possibly a little on the full side. Complemented by salty minerality. I would not be inclined to push my luck on how long it will retain its freshness.

Characteristics of the 16 vintage with good concentration, a little botrytis and low ish acidity. Soft vanilla on the finish Very nice for BB. I’m actually a sincere fan of 16 for the next 8 years

Delivers a lot for not that much money. Medium weight, ripe pear, mineral salts, glycerin mouthfeel. Really sorry I didn’t buy more of this. Three bottles was not nearly enough. If I had known how this would be drinking at this point it would be a no-brained case purchase.
This is a fresh and light wine with medium acidity. Good balance - even though this is not a complex wine the wine actually has a decent and pleasant aftertaste. The fruit is lemon, we get a clear minerality, a little hazelnut and maybe a hint of butter. A solid 90.

Fresh and light. Medium acidity. It delivers lemon (a mixture of citrus fruits maybe), a clear minerality and a little hazelnut. The balance is good and the aftertaste decent. Okay value and a pleasant experience. A solid 90.

Small tasting glass @ VINEUM during service, so a brief note. Already in this entry-level wine, the winemaking talent and top vintage 2016 are displayed. Precision, citrus flavors, minerality and a bit of length. Good value!

Pale lemon in color. Citrus and mineral notes on the nose. A bit of butter on the palate. Medium extract, medium bodied. It's not fat but it could use a bit more acid for lift and balance out those stony notes. Feels like a good entry level Blanc but not at the level or PYCM or Roulot which is reflected on the price difference.

this was the very last of the bottle served at Fotografiska by the glass and it went down easily but had lost some of the precision. Nice marriage of sweet hazelnut chardonnay expression and more citrusy esters, but does not hold up terribly well to warmer temperature.

Buttery but with zesty citrus and blood orange tangy acidity. Delish but little all over the place so both zealots and new oak fans may think it is less than it is.

Well stuffed and moderately intense citrus flavors which provide a rounding out of the rather enjoyable backbone of rock. Quite nice and an excellent value.

Surprisingly still delivers. Went well with a rotisserie chicken and still some fruity nuances.
