This wine is well within its drinking window in 2024 so I was excited to give it a try. More than anything, this wine craves fat in some form. Carnivores, fire up a steak. Vegetarians, grab some burrata. Vegans, saute some mushrooms in your best and freshest olive oil. Just make sure this wine has something to work against. That will allow the wine to showcase its depth and complexity without being overshadowed by its tart acidity. A wine tending toward the Bordeaux style, if that's your style this is its California version.

Two hour decant. Black cherry, ginger, black tea, cinnamon gum, and strawberry fruit roll up on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate, with nice, cottony acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
