Tasting pretty good right now. Medium full body with balanced acid, tannin, and fruit. Medium length finish. Probably still has several years of drinking window.

Day 2: Nice fruit featuring plum, cherry and sour blueberries. Mint, earth, pine needles, spice and floral notes. Complex effort and always preferred this to the Columbia Valley offering. Long finish and these will drink well through 2030. 93 points Day 3: Very similar to day 2. This is for sure one of the better deals in the past 5 years. $27.50 with tax. 92 points Recommendation: If you can get this for under $30 buy!

1 hour slow ox only. Young but beautiful now. 100 agree with previous review, dusty earth and potpourri nose leading to tart cherry slate finish, secondary blueberry and chocolate. Does get better as time passes day 2 and day 3. Alcohol had some bite could mellow for a year or two more before I try again. Paired with meatless sausage sauce on egg noodles. 92+

Day 1: For under $30 this is a steal. Mineral streak, blueberries, sour cherry, dust, floral and earth. Medium plus finish and wonderful example of Merlot from Washington. 92 points Day 2: So amazing for the money. Blueberries, minerals, dust, sour cherry, chocolate, earth and floral notes. Medium to long finish and balanced. Really a solid example of WA Merlot. 93 points Recommendation: This is an excellent value. Paid $27.50 with tax and need to get more!!!
Day 1: More approachable that the last bottle. Classic Washington Merlot with blueberries, cherry, plum, dust, minerals and mild oak. Medium finish and very satisfying. 92 points Day 2: More intense on day 2 with wood, minerals, dark cherries, spices and floral notes. Equally pleasing as day 1 but completely different wine. Would pair well with a steak. 92 points Day 3: Outstanding on day 3 with cherry, blueberries, minerals, spice, floral, dust and earth. Everything you would want in a Washington State Merlot. 93 points

4 L'Ecole Wines; 10/31/2021-11/6/2021 (3 Day Wine Review World Headquarters, Minneapolis, MN): Day 1: Still young and will benefit from day 2/3. Blueberries, boysenberries, smoke, mild oak, soy and spice. Good concentration and should improve with age. 90 points Day 2: Jury is still out on this wine. Tight but underneath that does have some nice fruit, spice, floral, minerals and wood. I am going to do a 4 day review on this to see if it opens up more. 90+ Day 3: Improvement and that is encouraging. Cherry, plum, spice, floral notes, chocolate and minerals. This wine is young! I see at least 4 years or more of aging this wine before it blossoms. 90-93 points Recommendation: Hold. 90 points today but could go up several points over time.

Dirty purple. Soft nose of oak spice and blueberries. Nearly full bodied, sage, crushed black cherries, mint, blackberries, well integrated tannins, dark chocolate, and a long dark fruited finish. Excellent!

Had it for dinner with a tenderloin and sautéed mushrooms. Was okay but not a homer. Medium body, still a bit young. Nice nose. Short, unremarkable finish. Again okay with chocolate (if you like the combination 😉).

Still not getting what all the excitement is abt w/ this wine. Had w a nice kc strip. Stk good, wine ok. I really wanted this wine to be good. Seems overly crisp and lighter bodied than what i would expect for merlot.

PnP drank half bottle, re-corked and kept in cooler overnight. Good on first night, much improved next night; tannins softened and yielded more to red fruits, spice notes, hint of graphite. Smooth texture, medium plus acid, finish lasts 40 seconds. Plenty of time remains, try again in 1-2 years.

Color - Garnet Aromas - Black and red fruit, tobacco leaf, clove, dried herb, damp earth, and black pepper Body - Full-bodied, and dense with medium-acidity, and well-integrated velvety tannins Taste - Black and red cherry, cassis, plum, graphite, savory dried herbs Finish - Medium-long
The deeply saturated nose wafts dark cherry sauce, black plum, cassis, beef jerky, graphite minerality and smokey black pepper. It’s not quite full-bodied, featuring round and broad tannins that are well integrated and nicely balanced with modest acid. The structure is classic high quality merlot. Flavors are as much savory as sweet due to strong doses of saline and dried tarragon. On the fruit side there’s cherry pit, strawberry, Acai, red plum and dried goji berry. Structurally this wine is ready to go, I say drink over the next five years.

Had it corked at walla walla steak house. Just ok. Went down a whole lot better in the tasting room. Did not help food was not very good. Stk was dry and over cooked. So no fat coating on palate. Wine came across as very sharp. Go figure.
