Perhaps a bit closed - nose was a little flat and one dimensional. Started to move in the glass as lunch went along but I would wait with these.. to my mind it was more Morey than Chambolle.

The '17 village CM from Amiot-Serville has a classically refined Chambolle-attitude, very delicate! 👁 Light bodied, full translucent. 👃 Adorable bouquet; parfumed cherries, wild raspberries, anise sweets, red roses and vivid forest floor in bloom. 👅 Fine red fruit, charming & elegant but somehow predictable texture without cru depth and attitude. Nice acidity, sweet touch in the finish. 🎯 Performs as it should, a well crafted Chambolle-Musigny is always lovable. Drink now +5y.

Nice bottle of Chambolle but nowhere near the very good 2016. Quite easygoing, elegant and simple. I hope this will gain a little bit of weight over the next couple of years but I am not convinced. I hope I am wrong.

Tasting at Amiot-Servelle (Chambolle Musigny): From 7 liuex-dits. Lifted bright smoky savory red strawberry. The palate is fresh, bright and juicy in an elegant style with a good persistent finish. 89-91

Burgundy, Day 3 (Beaune, France): From 7 different plots, with 10-15% whole cluster and 25-30% new oak. The use of whole cluster depends on the vintage. Certainly a step up in quality from the outstanding Bourgogne, with the same characteristics but just more intense. The fruit is more perfumed and elegant and there is more weight on the palate.

High toned raspberry and blackberry flavors with a bright cherry note on the finish. Very Chambolle like.

Delicious with some air but next to the superb 2016 this was weaker and less ready. But good structure. And Better than the 2017 felettig
