  • A solid pinot noir as your would expect from an appellation level Siduri at this price point. It won't wow you, but it does deliver on a crowd-pleasing pinot. The nose hints at more complexity, but on the palate, it's massive amounts of red berry fruits, especially cranberry and raspberry. It's not the subtle pinot noir that can effortlessly pair with a variety of dishes, but it's a richer style pinot that you can have with duck or game meats.

  • My first Siduri, and this might now be one of my new favorite RRV pinots. Wonderfully fresh on the nose with ripe dark fruit, and those classic pinot earthy undertones. The palate is juicy, strawberries and cherries, and finishes with that hint of the forest floor. Low tannins, a moderate acidity. I get almost no essence of the alcohol at 14.5%. I'll be coming back to this one for sure.

  • I'm a big Siduri fan, and I've found from vintage to vintage I have my favorites. The 2016 Russian River is a winner. It's bright with a beautiful juicy acidity and has more depth and length of finish than in previous years. This is one to stock up on.

  • From a 375, twist and pour. Dark burgundy color, ripe cherry nose, abundant black cherry with Dr Pepper notes, fruity right through the finish which lingers on with a bit of tannic grip. Easy drinking made in a crowd pleasing style.

  • Noithing not to like here, easy drinking from the get go, classic RR ripe fruit, smooth and balanced, esp for such a young wine.

  • Taste New Wines for Nov (San Diego Wine Co.): "Blended from 14 different vyd sites in the RRV ranging from cooler coastal influenced sites in western Sonoma County through the warmer Green Valley & Santa Rosa plain. All the components were fermented and aged separately in ~30% new FR oak barrels. Our final selections were 'married' in tank after 8 mos in barrel, & then returned to barrel where they finished aging." 14.5% ABV, 0.6 g/mL T.A., & 3.5 pH; 4,683 cases

    N: Creamy vanilla atop straws/cherries

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt met by a TOUCH of puckerish astringency which quite resolves by the LONG, very, VERY slightly spicy finish with a tangy/swtness (30:70) to the mINIMAL, very, VERY fine tannins. Nicely done for now & into '21, + might improve a tad into Spring '19. My VG+/EXC-, arguably the higher based upon the QPR of this vendor's $24.99, which is $3 < wine-searcher's next lowest posting. 92 pts Vinous (Galloni), 90 ea WA, Jeb Dunnuck, & WE @ $35, and 88 WS.

  • Deep and remains bright. Flower shop, red raspberry and a little earthy; the finish is medium in length. Drink now - 2022.

  • This surprised me with at least a moderate amount of acidity. I thought I was imbibing an Italian wine, like a Morellino di Scansano. Mid palate fruit took a backseat to the acidic finish. Would not buy again. If you get/have this, pair it with a tomato based sauce meal. But you can get similar Italian wine for $10 less. I enjoyed Siduri's Santa Lucia Highlands offering much more, for a more modest price too. I bought 7 different Siduri PNs a few months ago - five more different vineyards to go!
