Golden in colour. Mature nose, fresh with medium intensity, dominated by sweet, mature almost dried lemons and petroleum. On the palate a slight sweetness, medium(+) acidity, medium body, very good length with a bitter touch (some botrytis?). Fruity, with the lemons and petroleum present. Smooth texture, mouthfilling. A vigorous and lively 16 year old riesling. Beautiful!

Deep lemon with intense aromas of white flowers, honeysuckle, frangipane and lemon rind. This morphs to lime blossom, a touch of dried herbs and some mineral components. Dry, bright entry filled with citrus fruit: lime, lemon and white flowers along with a petrol note. Linear with good intensity in the mid-palate, refreshing with long length and showing good development at 15 years.

I thought this wine may have been a goner. But it seems like it's still in a really really good place with really pure fruit somewhat tropical but with tremendous acid and length. Enjoyed with Poulet and sweetbreads. This bottle was stored properly since purchase.

Bright straw coloured, with a rich citrus fruited nose from pears through to apricots. Good complexity with lovely fresh lime sherbet acidity balanced against good depth of fruit. Not bone dry, though would probably call it dry rather than off-dry. Would stand up well against their Schlossberg wine.

Disappointing. A lot of acidity but fruit seems lacking. Hard to see this going anywhere.
