‘Txakolina is a delicious local Bask specialty with a pleasant light sparkle. Slighly oily, chalky mineral with green appel, citrus and a bit of fresh/green herbs. Goes very well with roasted green asparagus. We drank this Bask party sparkle 5 years ago in the classic Pinxtos bar Martinez in San Sebastian.'

Super interesting and enjoyable wine. Fresh from the bottle and gently poured, it has this weird cheesy/butyric aroma that I don’t really like. Swirl a while, or splash it into the glass, and it goes away. What’s left is floral jasmine and apple. Palate has more apple and some tea notes. Beautifully light in body, alcohol very low, yet bone dry and not harsh by any means. You need one bottle per person for a full dinner. So light and refreshing. Excellent summer patio pounder.

PnP, chilled. A very refreshing, spritzy wine. On the palate there is lemon, lime, and minerality, all wrapped up in juicy acidity. Not a complex wine, nor is it meant to be, but very refreshing. Capture the freshness and drink soon.

Brilliant wine. Not much to add over what others have said - crisp, spritzy, dry, not really fruity. Thirst quenching! You literally want to get to the next sip of this.

Aroma: pit fruit and almond blossoms. Palate: spritzy and bright with citrus and mineral flavors. Juicy acidity. Hints of nuts. Good length. A nice alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.

My first bottle of Txakolina from 2017 at home this year, light, very light on the palate, not much fruit there, some lemon cest, but great saline freshness, only 10,5% ABV, so this one reminds about vacation at the seaside, quite long finish, recommended Txakolina, this type is to be drunk as young as possible, not fair to judge such a convincing entry level Txakoli by points, about **+

I'm usually good for at least a case or two of these per year and this was showing particularly well, which I would probably attribute to drinking this so close to the bottling date.
There's a good amount of spritz, which really adds to airy feel of this wine, then this is just an assault of citrus fruit; mostly lime driven, but there's a good dose of lemon and grapefruit as well. There's minerality and maybe some oyster shell towards the finish and you get a mouth watering salinity from the high acid. These are never going to be complex wines but there is a sort of simple perfection in its refreshing nature, so take the score with a grain of salt. Given the freshness of the wine, I would drink these immediately... ice cold and in the sun.

Refreshing. Good acid. Typical flavors for tzakolina. A little spritz too to add to the enjoyment.
