I tasted this alongside the 2015 and 2018, and this was tasty and elegant, if not a bit light-hearted compared to the other two vintages. I like the lower alcohol on this one (13.5%) and the freshness of fruit. The finish is noticeably shorter compared to the others, but I enjoyed the wine. 2018 was the best of the bunch in my opinion.

One of my go-to Bordeaux, always with a nice quality/price ratio and consistent across vintages. This was quite pretty, a good showing for the challenging vintage.

Similar to previous notes. While not the best vintage of this it has the consistent house style and has become one of my go-to Bordeaux at its modest pricepoint.

First off, I'd have to say that I agree with the comments of Jeff Leve and John McCabe. I find this wine quite precocious and also a winner in virtually every vintage., Including 2017. Dark ruby purple with nice glass staining characteristics. I popped and poured this one and after only about 45 minutes lovely floral aromas appeared, along with red fruit and blue fruit. Has excellent balance between fruit and acidity, with a nice crispness to it. Glassine mouth feel. At Costco's price of $35.99, this was a great value. 5-12-16-8: 91/100. Update the next day: Has developed a nice chunky, chewy, chocolatey flavor that adds complexity. Very nice.

This is increasingly a go-to Bordeaux for me with a quality that belies its price. Surprisingly consistent across vintages, this has a black and blue fruit profile, this particular one had an almost treacle-like thickness, along with a hint of creme de cassis and spice. Not the best vintage of this, but surprisingly good considering how challenged '17 was. I expect to pick this up in most vintages now.

Really cool Pessac feeling on the aromas with this nice roughness that is combined with the charm of a nice gravel layer, salt, stable and leather, black currants and a slightly tight plum feeling. Good juicy mouthfeel on this medium-bodied wine with slightly rustic redberry fruit, blackberries, gravel and light perfume on a good and fresh finish. Nice acidity and tannin structure that bites. Not a wine for the long life, but approx. 10 years this will last at least.

Medium-bodied and on the bright, fresh, crisp, juicy side of the style range, the fruit offers a lot of pop, purity and energy along with a nice core of bright, red plums. The wine was made from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. 89-91 Pts

Dark fruit, oak, spices, green pepper, floral notes on the nose. Quite grippy on the palate, bright acidity, good fruit. Lacks a bit of depth, but well made. 87-89

For years I have wanted to try this wine. Not this vintage per se, but this wine. I have no idea why I waited... its yummy.
Color. Dark inky red.
Nose. Cedar, clove, graphite, slate. Very mineral.
Palate. Cherries covered in slate. Rich tannic structure. Not like a paulliac. Very prickly and granular tannins.

Fresh, juicy, ripe, crisp, medium-bodied, with soft-textured, smoky red fruits, earth and tobacco leaf with a forward approach.

Liked this at the UGC tasting, but found it's tannins to come in with a little more astringency than most. Seems like it's built to age.

Spicy with perfumed ripe red fruit (plums) and some appropriate skunky notes. Smooth tannins and good acidity and overall balance. LA UGC Tasting.
