Ripe jack fruit, preserved lemons, vanilla, and baking spices. Shows nice full-bodied density and a velvety mouthfeel, but there's also good balance between bright vs. buttery Chardonnay styles. Closes with tropical fruit on the finish.

Been a while since I tried this. Nice citrus aroma. Tastes of pear and peach--not as ripe as I was expecting. This has toasty and nutty and mineral qualities. Good acidity. Medium body. Nicely balanced. 89-90.

First try for this chardonnay. Nice from start to finish. Expressive nose that included citrus, mango, white flowers and nuttiness. Pear, green apple, stone fruit and limestone flavors along with lemon and almond. Mineral elements in the background all the way thru the finish. Decent acidity for short-term cellaring if so desired. Impressive with excellent QPR!

Am new to the Ferrari-Carano wines. Have seen them on the shelves many times. Was offered a glass of their basic Sauvignon Blanc a while back and was impressed with the mouthfeel and mineral/fruit combo. So I decided to give their Chard a try. I am thinking this is their entry level Chard. I didn't decant and on night one it was just OK but on night two it really opened up. Spicy with a full body and some mineral. No obvious oak or butter (which is a big positive to me) Will try more of their wines.

Honey, Honeydew Melon, cream and vanilla.
Not a great deal of depth.

Very easy drinking, and a good cellar defender. Nothing remarkable, but just a solid oak forward CA Chardonnay, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Had a bottle of this wine just about a year back and it seems to have lost some of its sparkle. I would drink now if you have any,.

Small SGWS Tasting: Daily Drinkers (Eagle Brook Country Club): Retailer tasting. Pale straw yellow color with notes of fig, apple, coconut and tropical fruits. Abundant fruit on the palate. Drinks well above its modest price tag.

Seems to be exactly the same as the great bottle I had in June. Opens up nicely on night two, without decanting. Good QPR.
