Firm, with acidic austerity but lovely leafy tobacco and flint notes. Very fine aromatic nose with palate showing rather angular acidity and firmness. Quite narrow on the palate. Could use some time.

As a fan of older Breton Bourgeuil, I was quite disappointed in the thinner, more acidic and less fragrant showing. The bottle was in fine shape but relatively uninteresting. At their best, these wines can show a more elegant hand than the best of the lot of old cab franc: the Olga Raffault Les Picasses. The latter is richer and more rustic usually. I would drink up with lowered expectations.

Delicious! Terrifically evolved over ~19 years... Crisp tart red fruit, elegant acidity, deep minerality, and earty/mushroomy/dried fruit goodness. What a value!

In general I have not been impressed by Natural wines in the past, but this is quite enjoyable. I prefer my Cab Franc’s aged and this wine is there. Decanted 1-2 hrs. Initial nose was a tad funky/ animale, but that is expected from a 19 year old natural wine. Light ruby color and hints of brick on the outer ring. No pronounced nose or dominate aroma, except for a light smokiness....could be Coronavirus symptoms kicking in who knows! Maybe a little bell pepper. The palate receives a faint cherry flavor with slightly drying tannins and a wisp of acidic tinge on the finish, which is a good 15 sec. Overall, I am thrilled with this 19 year old naturally made Cab. Franc and will look for more C.& P. Breton wines.

Pas mal du tout après 15 ans. Encore du fruit, un vrai maintien. Beaucoup mieux en tous cas que Les Galichets 2003 du même producteur bu le mois dernier.

A lovely aged bourgeuil with with an aromatic nose of rose, oak, and resonant red fruit on the nose, dry red fruit on the palate, tart and delicious.

Just a quick taste of this at Breton dinner. Not as vivid as the '96 or '05 of same wine. But seems ready and correct now.
