Surprisingly young color. Huge nose of leather, cèpes de Bordeaux, vieux faisant mort, soy sauce... Tannin are still present, nice acidity, very nice mature Pomerol, roasted strawberries, lenght of 30 sec... Amazing 75 years old Pomerol, still has 20 years of life ahead... greatest 1947 tasted so far!!

Good intensity here with tasty baked dark fruits along with notes of sous bois and dried flowers. Finishes soft and fairly complex with a barnyard note that turned me off. Others liked this more than me.

Chateau La Fleur Petrus 1947 - going next to the Margaux 51 this wine was way more integrated, with still a deep color. Nose exploding out of the glass still with primary notes, a mix of black fruits, a beautiful tertiary, leather. The palate is amazingly ugly rounded perfect and balanced. A delicious dust tannin

Kraftig. Tørre tanniner og lang avslutning

Seven Decades of Right Bank Wines (Trondheim, Norway (my house)): Mid/high shoulder fill. Very, very dark. Hedonistic and sensual nose, forest floor, lots of fruit, complex; fine dark fruit in the mouth, opulent, almost porty. A powerful, long and striking wine.

Mind-blowingly good! Sweet, sweet, sweet with notes of vintage port (reminiscent of the '59 Mouton I had recently). A mouthfeel that only comes with a half-century of aging.

Duos, Trios and Quartets Among Friends (Ai Fiori Restaurant, NYC): Meaty and gamey with lots of sausage. Very lively fruit. Great complexity. Really enjoyable.
